Have I mentioned I have cool friends?

The big holidays are fun - Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, 4th of July.

You can't deny all the tradition and fun and meaning that goes into these holidays.

But - you know what some of my favorite ones really are?

The little ones.

The ones that just bring a bright spot right in the middle of your ordinary, every day, freezing cold winter day?

Well, Valentines Day is a comin' and it's not just "for lovebirds" anymore.

It's also a really good reason to love all over your children extra special - to make them pancakes in the morning in the shape of hearts, and to bake cookies with red and pink sprinkles all over them.

To dress them in the color of red and sporting shirts spelled out with love and XO's all over the place.

That's just plain fun and warm and fuzzy all over.

Something else I love is when someone surprises you with a little something special in the mail that is so adorable and makes you feel all "what cool friends I have. How sweet is she? I just love her to pieces" kind of feelings.

My friend Kristal from Virginia sent Little Girl and Baby Boy sweet little gifts for Valentines day. We received them in the mail this afternoon.

Check out the pics of our goodies. Kris MADE these bows, I absolutely LOVE them!! Little Girl is officially set for Valentines Day and Easter and then one extra day of random cuteness!! Baby boy will also be smackin' all over his new teether once one of his pearly whites pops through.....any day now I am sure!

Thank you Kristal. We love your gifts. Thanks for thinking of my kiddos on Valentines. I was wanting to have LG and BB do something for their friends this year too, and now I am feeling inspired.

Happy Early Valentines Everyone!
