Ode to TJ's and all things Organic!

I had a break today. My Mother-in-law and Father-in-law were in town and I, in turn, got a chance to run far, far away some errands and face the open road all by my lonesome.

It was bliss.

All you moms know what kind of bliss I speak of.

I first headed out to HomeGoods to spend the rest of my gift card from Christmas. I didn't find what I was looking for, but I did find a nice little pair of Kenneth Cole black shoes, some picture frames, a couple of pieces of art for Dave's office, 2 outfits for Michael and a gift for a friend's little boy.

Not a bad situation.

I then headed over to Trader Joe's. If you've read my blog at all you know this is one of my favorite grocery stores of all time! I found many healthy treasures and some that are loaded with sugar, but at least it is organic sugar and all-natural ingredients. Ha!

Some of my favorites that were purchased today were some......

Brown Jasmine Rice
"This blueberry walks into a bar" cereal bars for Little Girl
Organic Milk
Organic half-n-half
Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato soup
Organic "Puffins" peanut butter puffs cereal
Parmesan Regiano Cheese

and, of course, some organic dark chocolate for the really rough days.

I also bought some body wash and spa-like shampoo and conditioner to try. They smell divine and they were only 2.99 a piece for all-natural product. Awesome.

Here are some pics to show you my treasures.

I love feeling like I am giving my family healthier food when at all possible. I can't buy everything organic, but I try to do as much as I can. It just makes me feel better.

If you have a TJ's near you - what are some of your favorite things?

Do share. Do share.

No Trader Joe's here - never even been inside one. I know- sad huh? I am praying for maybe a Whole Foods at least to come and bring their beautiful cheese dept!

All your buys look yummy. The only TJ's we have around here ends in Maxx :)
