I'm tired.
All this traveling and going back and forth and packing and unpacking and sorting and re-sorting is sucking the brain cells from my head and throwing them into a pile of mush in the corner of my room - along with the big pile of clothes and numerous bags of bottles, dirty clothes, sippy's snacks, toys and everything else I am caravanning around with me right now.
I am back in Missouri at the moment.
I will be back in Indy in a few days.
In case you haven't guessed it yet my smart little friends.....
WE'RE MOVING BACK TO MISSOURI.
Yep. I said it. There it is. You all know the craziness that is my life now. :-)
If you are a close friend of mine - you already know all the details surrounding our decision to make this move and if you aren't someone I chat with on a weekly basis in real-life, well, you will just have to settle for the answer of - it's God's plan. He likes to take us on wild adventures and keep us guessing most of the time.
Oh yes he does. :-)
David got a great job offer back near family and with a business/ministry that is ultimately going to be something amazing for him. When we knew our lives were at a bit of a crossroads in Indy (even in the short amount of time we had been there and at the place we thought we were going to raise our kiddos) - God opened a door and pushed us through it to come back home. We don't always understand God or his timing, but we know he loves us. We know we always seeking his best and his plan for our life. And we know we are where we are at today because of all the many adventures he has taken us on. We are not your average-joe people I don't believe. We have been called to a special kind of journey and it has taken a lot of obedience and a lot of patience and a lot of soul searching. I'm thankful (most of the time) and I know I am better for it.
The answer is always the same at the end of the day. God knows the plans he has for us and they are plans to prosper us and not to harm us and we have a future and a hope. I'm SO thankful for that!
My family and the hubby's family couldn't be more excited to get the grandkids back under their little wings and we are pretty excited too. We are waiting for our house to sell and until it does - we are doing a lot of back and forth traveling. Me and the kids however are going to be taking a little break from it though, because well, did you read my title?
We're TIRED!
We have had such a fun Father's Day Weekend with our family and I will be posting pictures soon of our time together. My brother and his family have an awesome house here with a big inground pool, 4-wheelers, a fishing pond and probably anything else you can think of. We kind of lived there this weekend and swam and played and ate and played some more and then ate some more!! It was so much fun!
I'm so thankful for my dad and also for my children's daddy. He is the best one around and I can't imagine not sharing my life with David and raising our 2 beautiful children together. Dad's speak LIFE into their children if they are following God's heart. My husband does this every day of his life and we are so blessed by him!
Hope you all had a blessed Father's Day!!!

don't know how you're doing it but you have my admiration!
God's plan may not always make sense, but it's always right on the nose! I'm excited that you guys get to get back close to family. There's NOTHING like family. :) Love you guys!
Kara, I'm sad to see you go, but I'm glad that you moved to Indy for a short time so that I could get to know you.
Oh. my. goodness!!! Sorry for the chaos, but glad you are gonna get to be "home" again. Wow, God works in wonderful ways. We need to become friends that chat weekly so I can get the full scoop. ;o)
I've been following your blog for about a month now, and i think you're amazing. I've met you through your old church and know some of your story, and i've been truly touched.
I was just wondering if you were interested in having more kids, or possibly interested in a private -closed adoption.
a young friend of mine, is considering adoption for her unborn baby. she's still in the end of her first trimester but is looking at her options.
if you could let me know through a comment or just mention it in a post i can get you my email and some more information.
To my anonymous commenter - thank you so much for your kind words. If you know me at all, you know that I have moved a ton and been to a lot of churches :-) - so I would love to hear which one we are connected through. My husband and I are always prayerful about any opportunity that may come our way and I would never want to shut a door that could be God's will, but I would love to hear from you and go from there. My email is karamak@mac.com. Thanks so much for your note.
I love it. You are so right on! God knows what he's doing for sure! I think I could copy most of your blog and post it to mine...lol Our stories are so similar it's funny. Maybe that's why God brought us together for this too short time. Two crazy upheaved girls that both feel each others pain, encouraging eachother along the road! I am so excited for you to move back home. But I will miss you tons!
Can't wait for the day we both can look back and really laugh at our adventures!
Well, I guess I have my answer now. I really am out of the loop. Welcome home, though!
