Summer t.v. is just plain stinky

Shallow post to follow.

Please prepare yourself.

Why oh why do they have to cancel all the good shows for the summer? I can't handle another Dr. Phil re-run or the fact that I have nothing to Tivo at the moment.

I had to say bye-bye to The Office, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Lost, Lie To Me, American Idol and that was what I enjoyed - doing (NOTHING) during nap time in the middle of several afternoons a week.

The only thing new that is exciting me is that Army Wives is starting their new season pretty soon here and that does in fact make me quite happy.

Jon and Kate Plus 8 is simply depressing me right now, so I can't even be excited about those new episodes.

I could always pick up the 5 new books I have sitting on my shelves and start reading.....

Yeah. I need to expand my brain cells this summer.

A batch of brewed ice tea. A back porch. and a good book.

Ok. Ok. Maybe I'll try it.

Am I alone in my t.v. addiction people?

I know I'm not! :-)

You are not alone and I feel the same about Jon & Kate. I am reading some. And actually on one hand a little happy to have a forced break from my addiction. Yep, there it is. How shameful.

I don't like summer tv at all! Seriously, how many dance competition shows can 1 person want to watch! Maybe we need to start a book club?

I'm totally there with you. Is it bad when you shoo your kids out of the room because your soap opera isn't kid friendly. oops.

I vote yes for the book club!

I am with you! I like having that "one" night that is mine for tv shows... summer tv has robbed me of that. Now I wander around aimlessly...lol I could read a book sure... but not in 30 minutes...ha
