pillowy form! We bundled ourselves up as well as we could (no snow pants and no rain boots at all for mommy) and we headed outside to PLAY! I think every child of Tribeca was out today to enjoy the snow. There was atleast 4 - 5" on the ground once we got out there and the snow has been falling almost all day. Makenna was pretty content watching all the other kids and what they were doing. We walked around the park and she copied what she saw the "big kids" doing such as making snowballs, snow angels, throwing snow in the air and all the cool things kids love to do. We stayed out for about 45 minutes until mommy felt like Makenna's pants with only tights underneath to protect from frostbite were completely saturated in water. The fun came to an end when I mentioned the fact that maybe we should head inside. For those of you consistent readers - a BAZZINI moment ensued. Ahhh the memories! Oh well - the day was fun and we came inside for warm grilled cheese sandwiches and Makenna's favorite - a pile of black beans (don't ask me why - but she likes them and they are healthy!) Anybody else enjoying snow across the U.S. today? I know I've got friends all over - MO of course, a few in D.C., several in Virginia, some California gals (Sue - is it icing over at 65 yet?) and maybe even some Texas friends (you probably can't get in on this talk of Snow), but if you are seeing the white flakes of joy this week - get out and enjoy some fun! Hugs and kisses from New York!

we were supposed to have snow this morning, but I guess NY sucked it all in. we had a little ice instead. looks like Makenna had fun even if she was all wet. if I remember right, you don't feel the bitter cold as much as a child if you are having fun.
Hee Hee! So true. Childhood is a blissful thing Shauna!
Ok..the last picture of Makenna is probably one of the cutest ones I have ever seen. Loads of fun!
Yeah, what kind of fun can be had with ice? That is all we have.
Ella LOVES black beans too - so odd!
Hi Kara! It sounds like you have been having a great time in NYC. I'm so jealous about the Carrie Underwood Concert. Isn't Serendipity known for it's frozen hot chocolate? Sounds wonderful!
The snow looks fun, too. We've had lots of snow and ice around here the last few weeks.
OH NO! Not a BAZINNI moment! What did all the New York people think? :-)
Hey Kara! Christian also loves black beans! It's like one of the only things I'm thrilled he loves. He does lima beans now and then, has Makenna tried those?
Love ya,
Lianne
I know! Even though it's strange - I LOVE that she likes black beans so much. Any time I can get her to eat something natural and there is a protein involved I get excited. I am a big fan of sneaking avocados and beans and whole grain rice on her plate anytime I can. It usually works! I will have to try Lima beans Lianne - that would be a new one for us!
Yes Shannon - It was a Bazzini moment again and well, New York will just have to get used to a Toddler fit - what can I say?
Alana - Yes - Serendipity IS known for their frozen hot chocolate. I'm hoping to make it back for some before we leave!
