Early Christmas & Baby Boy Adventures

We had our Early Christmas celebration with my side of the family this past weekend. It was a great time of being with everyone and Little Girl and Baby Boy had a blast with all the cousins and Grandparents.

The highlights for LG was her new Fancy Nancy doll from Grammy & PaPa.

Does she seem a little excited?

Baby Boy was quite thrilled with his new Thomas the Tank Engine Backpack and also a new set of train tracks and trains.

Baby Boy was also giving us a little excitement this weekend that we weren't even aware we were looking for. :-)

Our first night there, we had opened gifts and were downstairs playing games and hanging out. BB had been running around with his cousins and I was keeping him in earshot to have an idea of where he was at all times. The next thing I knew, I said, "Hey! Where is Michael? I haven't heard him" and I ran up the stairs and saw him sitting there with my purse in hand and something very messy all over himself.

He found my lipstick.

I'm so glad I wear a nude color and not electric red or something! I couldn't believe that little booger.

I also put him to bed for a nap at my brother's house and expected him to sleep like he always does. He is a great sleeper and has never gotten up during a nap.

I went into the room where his pack-n-play was to see if he was awake yet, and I could barely get the door open.
He had pulled a bunch of toys out and a plastic bag full of cups and had made a huge mess. I don't think he ever even went to sleep. Again...Booger!

This picture was taken after I had cleared a small path and cousin Zane hopped in to play with him on the bed.

His last adventure was when I put him to bed 2 nights ago, he went fast asleep. Then, I brought LG in around 9:30 to go to bed too (they were in the same room at Grammy's) and BB woke up, but I just re-tucked him in like normal and left the room.

I came back in around 11:00 that night to see if the kids were covered up. LG was fast asleep and BB was out of his crib and was laying next to her in her bed lounging with his binky in his mouth and waving around his blanket. The music was blaring and he told me he turned it on and several things from my mom's guest closet were out. The boy had been partying for an hour and a half.

I think my son has officially turned 2. Please pray.

Here are a few more cute pics from our weekend.

I will be posting some recipes this evening on my recipe blog, so hop over and check them out. And, Shauna - I am adding a link to the side for my recipe blog. I haven't been able to get it to work in the past, so I am will work on it again right now.

Also, just fyi for anyone, if you post me comments on any of my old posts, I still am notified the same way with an email, so I get all your comments right away even on older posts. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment!!

Hope you all had a great weekend! Merry, Merry Christmas week!!

Love the pictures! You look adorable in your hat and head band. Now I think I need to go back and get one too :) Love the story of Michael and his weekend of terror :) Cooper got into my "holiday red" lipstick and had it everywhere. All over his face. He looked like a clown, literally.

Looks like a good time was had by ALL! Literally. Welcome to my world. My son hosed down our den carpet with the water hose when he was two. It ruined everything. I lived with asbestos tile flooring in there for 2 years. Ugh. He has since outgrown it. Thank. You. Jesus. Merry Christmas! :)

Two random things...first, LOVE that black hat with buttons. Actually double love it. So cute!

Second, confession: I usually scan photos first before reading blogs. I am just a photo-loving gal. Anyway, I did a quick scan and thought that lipstick pic was totally something else! I could see the TP roll in the background and was sure it was ANOTHER brown substance! So, in that case, whew!
