Boredom meets Creativity

I have mentioned before how creative that Little Girl is. She blows our mind. I still remember when she was just 3 years old and she crafted a snowman in our living room out of 2 gold present boxes, some legos and a "play" broom. It was astonishing then, but it's so cool to see her even now to fashion things constantly with her hands and her imagination.

Here is LG and her snowman. I just found it!

And here is what we've been doing the last few days.

She found a book called "Family Fun Boredom Busters" that we were given many years ago and she periodically flips through it sitting on the couch and says she is "getting some inspiration and ideas". Oh. My. Goodness.

She saw this picture

and immediately asked me to help her get this thing going

She even created her own draw bridge situation with the front door made out of wire that was on the back of some of her toys she got for Christmas. Oh, and there is totally a planter box on the back made out of paper and tape.

I see Architect in her future if you ask me.

:-)

The other thing we were doing this past week was making this new recipe given to me from my awesome friend Carli who lives all the way out in Indiana. Too far if you ask me. I met Carli in our brief one year stint of living in IN at the park in our neighborhood. She lived down the street from us and she was one of my highlights of living in that state!

We made Meatball Sub Casserole for ourselves and also for some dear friends of ours from our Lifegroup who has a little guy that is quite sick. Head over to my Recipe blog for the low-down

William is like that, too. It always fascinates me because I am not creative. He gets that from his Daddy! Love the pics!
