An Update in Bullet Points

I know I've been gone. I've been out of the bloggy mood, so that's all there is to that. I do miss you, my bloggy friends out there who keep up with me and share with me on here, so I am sending out some love and an update.

Here's what's been happening:

My back is doing really good right now. I still am not attempting to add weights back into my workout routine, or much running, but I am back in the gym and I've also started doing a little yoga. I sweat like the dickens with yoga. It's crazy. I have to start stripping down about 20 minutes in because I am drip-ping. That must mean good things are happening - right?

I am supposed to start physical therapy soon to keep strengthening my back, but we've had some insurance issues. Long story, but I'm hoping to get going quickly.

We camped in our neighborhood down by our pool with about 10 other families and it was seriously so fun. I couldn't actually sleep in the tent because of my back, but I stayed long enough to tuck the kids in and help Dave get them down, then drove 30 seconds back to the house. It was a great chance to get to know our neighbors and the kids made some awesome memories!

We tore up Baby Boy's room and started scraping off his popcorn ceiling. The walls are being painted this weekend, then daddy starts building his new bed. More on that later. BB is currently residing in our guest bedroom. He loves it.

Little Girl is still doing art projects any chance she can get. She is passionate about each "piece" and she puts such care into them when she creates. This is what she made last week while I made dinner.

I've been baking a few things around here that have the word "pumpkin" in them. Like these pumpkin chocolate chip granola bars for instance. We really enjoyed them. I will be posting a recipe over at The Recipe Box this week.

I have been finding ideas on blogs and pinterest that have caused me to want to completely empty out my house and start over. Preferrably with dark thick-planked hardwood floors, white paneling and doors, a turqoise funky island in the kitchen and white slipcovers on my couches. Yeah. I'm having decorating mind-crazies. I want to re-do!!! :-)

LG sang the national anthem at her school soccer game with her friends and she thought that was the coolest thing in the world. P.S. - it was also crazy hair day (hence the 8 pony tails).

And, as to not forget Baby Boy, a few of the cousins came down to help with our garage sale and they decorated pumpkins with these fun pieces you just pop in. BB had Buzz Lightyear. Hello! Cuteness!

Lastly, we got a Caribou coffee in town inside of our new Hyvee. Woo! Hoo! Their lattes are very rich and yummy and I love giving my favorite Starbucks some competition. :-)

Have a great night. I am off to watch me some Private Practice. I'm behind. :-)
