Update

It's been a nice break from blogging since I mentioned that my brain cells weren't forming words, but I felt the urge this morning to throw an update on life out there to you.

The Indiana trip was awesome and it was so fun seeing old friends and checking out our custom built home we lived in for less than a year. Yeah. Ha! Instead of staying in a stuffy hotel we stayed with our friends Carli and Joel and their 4 awesome little boys. Their youngest is the same age as Baby Boy and there was plenty of action for Little Girl to stay continually entertained. Carli and I had a blast hanging out too and we even got to squeeze in some Sushi time and a girl's movie. Carli is one of those keepers that you wish you could transplant with you and put her down the street from you wherever you go, but I guess she has her own life. Fooey! :-)

I also got to go to my favorite place - Trader Joe's and even take Carli for her first time trip there ever. I know - what's wrong with her? My pantry is fully supplied of new things. I literally brought a huge tote back full of TJ goodness. Happiness.

We also got to go to church Sunday morning where we used to be on staff and Little Girl was in heaven seeing all her old buds. It was a gift to get to hug everyone again and see all their sweet faces. We loved it.

We stopped in St. Louis on our drive home and decided to let the kids play at the zoo for a couple of hours to break up the drive. The zoo is awesome and it's free - 2 of my favorite things. We saw elephants and a butterfly museum that impressed the kiddos and then we headed to the lion's den.

BB had grabbed his blanket out of my bag (stinker) and I kind of noticed it and thought he shouldn't have it, but I am sure he was screaming or something and I thought to myself "quiet is fun too".

You look down into the lion's den from up high on a second level and they have a little ledge passed the fencing and electric wire. I guess if you fall - they want to kill you with the electricity before you make it to the lion's mouth. ;-)

We looked over the edge.......

and I see a blue haze pass my face and land on the ledge hanging over the lion's. I knew exactly what it was when LG screamed "AAAAHHHH!!! His Blankie!!!".

She was devastated and started crying saying that she felt really bad for her brother.

We searched for a zoo keeper. They all acted like it was a code blue when we told them where he threw his blanket. I knew we just needed to find someone with a long arm stretcher thingy.

We did. Hello Mr. Trash collector of the zoo.

He got back our blankie.

No animals were harmed in the retrieval of blankie.

Baby Boy thought it was funny.

I'm so glad we made it home with that 12" square of comfort. Shew!!

Oh- hey! I got a new camera! Woo! Hoo! Here are some shots of the kids to leave you with from my new toy. Hope you have been well. I hope to return back on here more frequently, but we leave for vacation next week, so..........be patient with me. :-)

Backyard fun

We got a new grill. Here is what they had the most fun with.

A few more. Sorry. Can't help it these kids are so cute. :-)

Kara-
Wish I could've talked to you more tonight! We need to catch up! I want to hear about your trip to IN and whatever else I've missed. What day do you leave for Branson?

Love the blankie story. Reminded me of Kylee throwing her sunglasses to the otters.
