Weekend Fun & a Recipe

It's been a good weekend around here.

Friday night we took the kids to a fun park and let them ride their bikes. The weather was perfect and we all got lots of great exercise. Baby Boy is still learning the "pushing the feet forward and peddling" thing, but we got in lots of good practice. I may or may not have had a couple of moments of wanting to beat my head against a brick wall when I would say "peddle!" and he would pull his feet backward and say "like this?". But, we made it. :-)

Saturday was some sleeping in, some family time and of course, Big Breakfast.

Head over to The Recipe Box to see our Grilled Breakfast pizza we made.

Thennnnnnnnnn, Grandma came and picked up Little Girl to go to a fun Baby Shower with her. Aren't they cute?

Me and David took Baby Boy swimming for a little while and it was fun to just be alone with him. His personality really comes out when all eyes are on him and he kept swimming underwater (which he's never done before) like he's been doing it forever. It was random and hilarious.

Then, Grandma swung back by and picked up BB and took both kiddos to her house for the afternoon and rest of the day. David and I made lunch, cleaned up, watched a movie we had taped and lounged around. Then, we got fixed up and headed out for sushi and some Andy's frozen custard. We picked up the kids around 8:00 and we felt so refreshed after having a day of conversation and some much needed alone time. Yay for date nights!

It has been a great weekend and we will finish it up tomorrow with some church time and a family meal. I may pop back in this week again. Thanks for hanging in there with me while I take this little break over the summer.

Hugs!!
