Update

Hi friends.

It feels strange to not be blogging every day during the week, but it also feels wonderfully freeing to not have a "have to" item to check off each night during these summer months of carefree fun and schedule-free days.

Here's a quick update of what's going on with us over here.

- I have stopped buying Cheez-its for awhile so that I can try to feel a little more fit and trim before I hit the stores for some fall clothes shopping.

I have NO restraint when it comes to this snack. By the way - this flavor is my new fave, but let's move on!!


- I truly dislike Summer television, except for my "So you think you can dance" show, but that doesn't help me much.

- My hubby bought me an iPhone yesterday. I've never had a cool phone. It's like a new toy. I'm lovin' it.

- Both kids have dentist appointments in the morning. Fingers crossed for no cavities.

- I have been working out 5 days a week recently. 3 days at the gym and 2 mornings running with a friend. This has GOT to make a difference. Right??

- I'm making a birdseed wreath with the kids to hang out back tomorrow. They are super excited. I will post about it.....when I'm back. :-)

- I have enough laundry to keep me busy for a week. I'm not even kidding.

- David and I had a date night on Friday and after we had a big italian salad for dinner, we stopped at the store and bought a tube of cookie dough and some ice cream and made ourselves a little "cookie monster" (Springfield people know what this is) and watched some of our DVR'd shows. (Kids stayed the night at Grandma's). It was SO fun.

- The kids are ready for school to start. I am too. I think. As long as I don't cry. I look forward to a SCHEDULE!!

- We are not getting a dog right now. The research helped me to learn and then step back and realize - we ain't ready. :-)

- I'm taking LG to go see "Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer" this week and treating her to Chinese food (which she begs for). I'm excited for our girls night out!

- We are still living at the pool and the fun is going strong. It's been a great time of learning to swim and getting more comfortable in the water.

- LG has been LOVING all of her pottery and art camp adventures she's had this summer. This is a picture of her when we picked her up on the last day of camp. She is high on Red Popsicles. :-) She is our little artist.
