Home. Packing. Sad. Excited. Blessed

Oh the emotions that go along with this season of life.

CHANGE.

I am a person who loves routine and sameness and just a little "controlled excitement" along the way of life. Nothing crazy. Nothing that throws me off my game. Just some spice of life to keep things interesting and enough familiarity to keep me secure.

I am coming to the realization that I have a week left of familiar. A week left of friends I know, playdates I can count on, walks with neighbors that are a guaranteed thing if I only make a simple phone call and a week left of life in Missouri -my hometown - my place I grew up and where all my family and close friends reside. All of these things I will miss with all my heart, but I am, as stated before, so very, very excited at the same time. As I make my way through the boxes that are starting their piles once again in my life and as I pack away pictures, miscellaneous paperclips and an old box of Bounce Dryer sheets that I may find behind the dryer (I hate packing all of these random things that I stumble upon) - I am feeling blessed. The journey ahead feels assured and feels like home. I feel a sense of destiny and a sense of a family and a life that I have only dreamed of and prayed for.

Amidst all the crazies right now - I have had a couple of fun moments that I wanted to share with you. Remember my post last week about "things I am in to"?

I found this sweet bag with this sweet note waiting for me on my computer when I came home and daddy showed up from Indy today.

The little gifts have the biggest impact in my book! My hubby got major points for this one!!

I also enjoyed so much being with my family this past week. I went with my sister and her first grade class to the zoo on Wednesday and Little Girl was swarmed by big sista' kind of love from a big group of these little first grade girls. They mothered her, lifted her up to see animals, cheered her on down the slides at the playground and held her hand to go over bridges. It was precious. She even met a another Little Girl with her same name (the cute redhead) that she bonded to quite quickly. Here are some pics from our fun day.

Lastly - I have to show off a fun picture from my fun day with my mom, sister and sister-in-law for Mother's Day. We went to this amazing italian buffet called "Cinzetti's" and I kid you not that we gorged on so much food it was ungodly. I am officially avoiding the scale until.......well, until I feel like I can see the numbers going down instead of up.

Hope you all had an awesome Mother's Day!

Those small surprises pack SUCH a big punch! What a sweet hubbie! I understand the mixed emotions that come with packing and moving. Can't wait to hear about all the blessings God has in store for you at your new home.

Let me say again that your little girl is ADORABLE! I also enjoyed the picture of you with the other ladies in your family. Fun day!
