Looky-Lou and Things I am "in to"

It's a rainy Tuesday here in Missouri and Little Girl and I decided to fill our morning up with running around doing errands and fighting with an umbrella trying to stay dry. Great Choice Mom.

Any-who

(sorry - I had to throw that in to represent Grandma one more time)

It actually turned out to be a fun day even amidst the dark and stormy weather that followed us around the city. Our first stop was to a local Christian bookstore. I had told Little Girl that we could buy a couple of new movies today. She has watched Curious George -the movie now about 100 times and I don't let her just watch it over and over or even every day if this tells you how long of a stretch we have had of this wonderful George movie. We Tivo Clifford and Super Why and also Word World, but she is starting to get a little bored with her small collection. In our house - we use movie and t.v. watching for only a few special occasions such as:

when mommy showers

when mommy is cooking dinner

OR

when mommy is packing for a trip or, I don't know, a move across the country

I try to be very particular about how much she watches, so when she does get to enjoy some good ol' lazy t.v. time - I want it to be something that is fun, educational, teaches her good things and that of course, she likes it!

We picked out some new flicks for her, a book for me and McDonalds for both of us. Yes - we were the picture of health leaving that establishment. Right.

I started thinking about the various things I enjoy and the things I am "in to" right now and thought, "well, I like reading about other people's stuff so that it gives me some good ideas", so I shall pass on this amazing knowledge of information to you as well, in hopes that you don't fall asleep and drool on your keyboard before you get done reading my list.

Here they are:

Books I am currently reading and have purchased to read:

Books I am interested in reading very soon because of numerous rave reviews or I already love the author:

She Always Wore Red - by Angela Hunt

Mistaken Identity (not sure authors name here)

Doesn't she look Natural? - by Angela Hunt

I mainly read Christian fiction, so the books I fall in love with are generally down this path. Anybody else have any good book suggestions you would recommend?

Favorite Videos for my 2 1/2 year old:
Boz - Bananas, Bubbles & Busy Bodies

AND
Veggie Tales - Moe & The Big Exit

Favorite Hair Product:

This stuff is the best for adding sassy texture to your hair - especially if it is fine and has a mind of it's own!

Favorite Organic Cookie and Cracker Line:

Back to Nature can be found at all health food stores and now even at some Walmart's and Price Cutter's. These cookies and creme ones are one of my fav's along with the peanut butter sandwich cookie! Hello Yummy.

I would love to hear any of the things you girls are "in to" right now that you would love to share with some bloggy friends. It's always great to swap ideas with people and try something fun and new.

Kara~ I meant to tell you the other day that I read a Karen Kingsbury novel and really enjoyed it. I can't remember the title now but I read it because I heard about her on your blog! (: She is now on my reading list. One of my favorite Christian writers is Francine Rivers. Any of her books are great. In fact if you haven't ever read her and would like to borrow one before you move let me know!

Amber - I LOVE Francina Rivers. I am wondering if you are talking about the book "Redeeming Love" that she wrote. That is an all time favorite and I have read it at least 3 times which I don't do with any books.

Jamie - Yes - I believe we live pretty close to each other......at least for 2 more weeks. :-) Thanks for the turtle chex idea. I love anything involving caramel and chocolate and something salty. Yum!

Kara~ I read Divine and one other. Divine was actually hard to read because such horrible things happened to her. But she is an excellent writer and it was a very good book. I have read Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. My favorite though is The Scarlett Thread. But really any of her books are just fantastic!
