My Fair, uh, Big Breakfast

Today was Big Breakfast Saturday. Our weekly ritual to make a big feast and chow down to our heart's content on all the yummy goodness that is breakfast food. It's one of our favorite traditions and Little Girl thinks it's the best - mainly because it's the only time she ever gets chocolate milk.

Well, today's menu was a good one. We had some good ol' fashion pancakes to start off our morning, along with turkey bacon, hash brown potatoes, scrambled eggs and cheese, chocolate milk for LG, a bottle for BB and Starbucks coffee for us big kids.

Baby Boy always enjoys getting to have some of daddy's famous pancakes and little girl is a dipping fanatic when it comes to her side of syrup she gets in a little bowl.

Yes - in case you haven't noticed - we do require something sweet to go along with every Big Breakfast. Of course!

So, we had a lazy day here at the house playing soccer with LG and watching BB going up and down the stairs since he has mastered the art of crawling down backwards on his belly. Seriously cute stuff.

**Notice LG put her flower from the fair in the middle of the table for ambiance. So sweet.

We were awfully pooped out from going to a local county fair last night and partying it up with the kiddos until 10:00. Yeah. We're wild like that.

We rode rides, ate chicken on a stick, LG got some fresh squeezed lemonade and we pet a couple of ponies on our journey through the scary fair. It was really fun, but seriously - where do they find these people to run the rides? I think Dave and I walked LG to every ride and put her in ourselves because the people looked like they were all from a WANTED poster. And the teeth? Please don't get me started. It was like a hooters job requirement where you have to have.......nice hair and in this case - you literally had to have your teeth rotting out of your head and BOOM - you got the job for the Indiana fair! Wow!

Anyway - we really did have a great time out as a family and BB was a trooper, however, he did start holding his ears towards the end of the night and we took that as our cue to head on home.

It's always fun having daddy home for the weekends. Really hoping our house sells soon though and we can start seeing him every day again. Really hoping.

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Our family actually went to the Indiana State Fair last year on one of our road trips. It was so much fun. But definitely a different world from the big city :) What fun memories for your kiddos!
