It's Wednesday. I actually hate the term "Hump Day". I'm not sure why - maybe because the phrase sounds -well - it just sounds unpleasant, but here I go following trends and sticking it in my post title anyway.
I'm crazy like that.
I started my morning off at the gym with my friend Julie and it was a really great workout. I am feeling so great about the hard work we are putting in and now am looking forward to seeing the progress in the hips. It will come. I am believing it will be so. Weight Watchers promises me. :-) Then, we took the kiddos to the park and enjoyed this gorgeous nearly 60 degree weather day. It feels like spring or something and I am in heaven. I love the sunshine. Love the breeze on my face. Love being outdoors and not crammed in these four walls staring at each other until someone has a meltdown. It's usually me, but LG and BB can have their share too.
Oh - and LG built a dinosaur yesterday with her daddy out of these lego-like blocks because they are learning about dinosaurs at school right now and then she added the funniest thing to her creation. One large yellow block is coming out of the bottom half of the dino and she told us that was his potty because dinosaurs potty in the river and she wanted to make it like that.
That cracked me up. She also found a pretend campfire thing she has and set it up in front of said dino so that he could roast marshmallows at will - ya know - after he's taken a leak in the pond and everything.
I am getting ready to go do my Beth Moore Study here in a moment and I'm looking forward to some quiet reflective time where I can connect with Jesus. The times that this happens feel fewer and far between these days, so I enjoy this study because of the discipline - so much!
I will be smelling the smells of dinner in the crockpot while I study and tonight I am making green pepper chicken. Even if you are not a green pepper fan. This dish comes out looking like a chicken salsa verde mixture and you spoon it into corn tortillas with sour cream. It is literally one of my favorite crock pot dishes right now and you can also serve it with some brown rice in the tortillas or just pour the mixture right over the rice. Seriously delicious. Here's the recipe if you want to give it a try this week.
