I hear Florida calling me

We leave in 2 days people! I haven't been this excited for a trip in a long time. I was sitting and trying to figure out all the reasons that I am so antsy about this journey - even with all the other traveling we have done - is because of the following:

We have had a loooooooooong past 3 years of our life.

Nuff said.

I am tired.

This will be our very first TRUE vacation with just the 4 of us.

My hubs is running in his very first marathon.

I am busting at the seams with pride.

The look on LG's face alone when she walks into the park is worth the whole trip.

It's Florida.

In January.

Yeah.

It's very, very cold here and I want to be somewhere warmer.

I have cabin fever from these past few weeks of Christmas vacation and I am ready to jump on a plane today if I could.

I want to see Minnie Mouse.

I get to watch my hubs cross the finish line......at a marathon!!!!!!

We get to experience this trip with one of David's best friends who lives there in Orlando. We have known them for the past 6 years and we are so excited to meet their newest addition to the family as of 3 weeks ago - baby Emerson.

I get 4 more free days to pig- out (oh, I mean portion control my sweets and maintain my current weight).

Yep. I'm excited. Today, LG was back in preschool and it was just me and BB off to Target to buy up all the snacks and $1 entertainment toys we could find for the flight and for marathon morning while we are waiting on the sidelines for daddy. Yes- I'll be alone with 2 kids under 5 for about an hour and a half with 30,000 people surrounding. I'm not scared. Really, I'm not freaking out about that in the slightest. I surely won't be laying in bed tonight picturing something horrible and figuring out a way to chain my children to my body for those 90 minutes.

Nope. Not me.

Lastly - we bought a flip video camera to take on our trip. I am giddy thinking about catching moments of the kiddos walking around the parks and meeting princesses and Buzz Lightyear and Pluto. David is also going to take the flip camera with him and his friend on the run and document their little journey and they will probably make a little movie out of it. That's just how these two men are. :-) I love it.

Ok. Well, I am signing off for a few days. I will be busy getting ready today and tomorrow and then I shall return next Monday after our trip to tell you all about it. Also - I have a boat load of pics to share with you from Christmas and many other things, but David reconfigured my computer and now he has to tell me how to deal with iphoto, so until I get my lesson - no photos. I should have some up next week though for your viewing pleasure.

See ya!

Wow! Have a great trip! Congrats to your hubby ahead of time. A marathon is a HUGE accomplishment! Not one I ever feel a need to achieve...

I wish it was warmer here for you guys! There's a crazy cold front coming though. But I guess it will be warmer here than it is there. Have fun at Disney!
