I'm nothing if I don't keep me promises.

Thought I would post a few teaser pics of Little Girl's room accessories to get you in the decorating spirit with me. After I had chosen some new things to add to her current bedding - which is adorable and I'm not replacing, she decided to share how very much she loves PURPLE and that she wants her walls purple and her new bed purple and her curtains purple.

Sorry sister. How about pink?

I was already too far into the designing process and purchasing process and mental thinking of what I DID NOT have to buy, that I wasn't changing anything. I have talked her into just adding a couple of purple touches here and there (which totally don't go with her room, but I'm trying to be flexible here). So far - she is still very happy with all the plans.

Fingers crossed.

Here is a snapshot of a corner of her new Rug we found at Target. It has all the colors of her bedding in it and we think it's awesome. See how great it looks with her accent pillow?

Here is the new little plaque I also found at Target that spelled "DANCE" - which she also said must be in her room somehow since it's her favorite! :-)

We also bought her this hanging thingy-majigger that is to house some of her dress-up clothes on the wall, along with a full-length mirror and a chest for the other remaining accessories that this little princess possesses.

Don't you love my hand in all of these professional photos?

Lastly, here is a glimpse of the material that my Mother-in-law is using to make LG her new curtains. Very sweet.
.

They are going to be super full and light and then we will have hook backs for them to tuck behind to frame both windows.

The trim work should be done this week. Knock on wood. I will post pics of her purty new white trim compared to the old brown trimmed out room when it is done (or even mostly done) so you all can see.

Thanks for checking out LG's new stuff. We are so excited to give her this new space to call her own. It's fun having you all along for the journey.

P.S. Hold your hats, but I may even post a yummy recipe this week. I have been diving back into my kitchen, even though in the summertime I would prefer to only eat salad and never turn my oven on, but we must eat. :-)
