I would be doing something else right now except that me and the hubs declared ourselves a little t.v. fast for the summer to get something done with ourselves other than lay around as soon as the children go to bed and go into full-on ZONE OUT mode where we get ABSOLUTELY NOTHING else done.
We thought we would try something new in the evenings, like, accomplishing something.
Craziness.
I actually love it. We have been so busy on Little Girl's room that it has hardly been noticed, but for some reason - tonight - all I want to do is drag my little tushy to the couch and start flipping to the BRAVO channel to watch something horrible like the Housewives of New Jersey or something. But, alas, I chose another path and got the next book in my Karen Kingsbury series that I have been way behind on. I just bought "SUNSET" and I plan to start it here tonight. The discipline is really good for us and it helps give our lives a little perspective and also gives us a chance to talk to one another (novel) and share some goals for our family and things of that nature. I am sure my Tivo is filling up as we speak with mindless dramas and sitcoms that I will plunge head first back into come September, but for now - I don't even look. :-)
Oh Yeah. LG's Room. Here are a couple of before pictures, and sorry, but I didn't grab the camera until we started breaking the room down already.

Here the hubs is working away on that ceiling.

Here's a peek at the new room color. We did it in a very soft pink. When the new white trim gets added - I think we are really going to dig the feel of it.

We just told LG what kind of a bed her daddy is building her. She is flipping out. She doesn't realize it's going to take us some time to complete it all. Maybe we should've waited to divulge that part..........
Well, I'm off to read. My summer will be filled with several things: reading, playing with my kids and eating popsicles, swimming, and renovating LG and BB's rooms. That's right - the boy is next!!

I'm so excited for LG. We had no dish for 10 days and that was enough for me. Good luck.
