Here are a few pics of our fun time together.

Yes - I was wearing a camo hat. That's dedication. Yes - the cake is awesome and it is from a local bakery called Beth's Bake Shoppe. It's as yummy as it is purty. :-)
It was so fun planning this and putting it together for her. She has waited for another baby since her 2nd baby was born and he is 11 now. God is blessing their family with a surprise and a miracle all rolled into one, and we couldn't be happier!!
Now, one of the things on my sis's craving table were these Golden Graham Smores Bars that we used to eat as a kid. A certain person who shall remain nameless (MELISSA) asked me to add these to the blog because I believe they were a huge hit with all of us. Kim and I both ate one and said "memories!" because we loved these growing up. Here's a link to the recipe for those as well.
Let me know if any of you girls try them and what you think.
And, speaking of miracles and babies and all things wonderful, I read a blogger friend's post today that made me all weepy and sappy because it wasn't just a post about adoption or how much we adore our beautiful children who came to us through adoption, but it was an honoring post devoted to "the other woman" in our lives as adoptive parents. I think about both of my kids birth moms more than ever at this time of year because their birthdays are both coming up in August. I know that on my day of joy where there are balloons and bubbles and smiles and giggles, that there is probably a tear rolling down another woman's face wishing she could be there at that party. My heart goes out to these brave women that I consider a part of our family forever, and my friend Jamie posted her thoughts so well on this subject and I wanted to link up to her to share it with you. Here it is.
Have a blessed day. Go love on your kiddos. They are each a gift from God, coming in all different packages.

Thanks for the shout out Kara. I've been having those feelings leading up to my son's bday and I had to get them out somehow.
