The Sneak Peak

I have been in that "stare at the walls until I come up with a plan of how to decorate it" mode again. This time it is with Little Girl's room. I have been so happy with the curtains I purchased from Land of Nod, and I can't wait to see her new blue playhouse bed next to them. I think all of the colors will really start to pop throughout the room. I keep wavering in the direction I am going with everything, but I keep landing on some solid pieces that I am happy with and I just keep going with that.

Here's a peak at her dress-up well. I have a lot more I want to add all around the word "dance", but this is the beginning of it. We love the little storage cubes too that we found at Target for cheap.

I did a little sideways shot here so you could see the mirror we put on the closet door. She Loves it!

Here is a peak at the curtains and the top of her bookcase that is in between the windows. I bought this new hot pink lamp shade at Target and added it to her old lamp which was falling a part a bit with the old shade. I had this old frame that I bought WAY back at a garage sale for 25 cents and have used it in various ways in her room. I literally scotch taped this scrap fabric I had from samples for LG's room when we were picking curtain fabric and I liked how it looked. I added her little name banner which I have also had forever and I am still playing around with the rest.

What do you think?

Are you getting a feel for this Little Girl's awesome new room?

When the bed is completed, you know you will be getting the full and final pics of the room. I can't stand it! I want to be done now. She seems so thrilled with everything and I am loving watching it come to life. I can't believe we still have Baby Boy's whole room to do next. That means popcorn ceiling, doors, trim, new fan, paint......the works. Ahhhhhhh. Well, atleast the weather will be way better for his room. :-)

Tonight we hit the mall and Target to look for a few key items for back to school for LG and also some outfits for their 2 and 5 year old pictures we are having done in a few weeks. It's so hard to find good clothes for such an occasion. I don't want them to look all stuffy and not like themselves, but I also don't want them to look like they rolled out of bed on a Tuesday. Trying for that in between thing. I found several cute pieces at Target and I have them holding a couple of items at Macy's. I had forgotten my coupon, therefore I need to return tomorrow to pick them up.

Oh joy.

We are off to my hometown for the weekend to celebrate all the August birthdays in our family (4 cousins). Can't wait to eat some cake, swim in the pool for one of the last few times this Summer and hang out with the gang.

See you next week!
