Anticipation of new and fun things can be exciting. It can be something to look forward to and it can be exhausting and take WAY too long to get here.
We are in the countdown phase right now.
Countdown to close on our Indiana house - 5 days.
Countdown to Baby Boy turning 1 year old - 5 days.
Countdown to Little Girl starting preschool for the 1st time - 6 days.
Countdown to closing on our MO house - 8 days.
Countdown to Baby Boy's big birthday party - 10 days.
Countdown to my sanity finding it's way back into my life - who knows.
There is so much to look forward to in my life right now and so much to be thankful for, but sometimes the anticipation of it all feels like it is killing me.
I am so anxious for this next week to get here that I need to focus on something to keep me busy.
Here's the plan.
Birthday party prep!!
Writing LG's birthday letter
Writing BB's birthday letter
Furniture shopping
Yay to all things above! We sold several large pieces of furniture before we left Indy, so now the fun (sort of) begins to find the replacements. I love buying new things - especially furniture since I haven't shopped for any really since pre-children, but sometimes the actual act of looking can be maddening when you keep seeing oak and yucky and what you want is maple and nice.
Hmpf.
Yes. I realize my problems are huge.
I am taking my days one of them at a time and I am enjoying the calm here before the storm of all that next week holds.
Oh - and Lord - please don't let my Little Girl grow up too much with this whole preschool thing next week. I won't be able to take it.
Amen.

Have fun shopping for furniture and if you see any decorations that would look good in my house, go ahead and buy them. :)
Sorry to say it, but preschool will make LG grow up, but she will love it! And after the first day, you will too! So will BB....all that one on one attention just for him!
Can't wait to see your new house!
I love the feeling of anticipation. Looking forward to something is so fun. You've got a lot to look forward to and I'm super excited about all of it!
