First of all, let me say that I need to stop making myself an ice cream sundae every night with leftovers from Little Girl's party and an empty house that beckons me to do so. Let me also confess that I throw a half of a split banana in there, a few m&m's and some magic shell (which brings back a load of memories from my grandma's house) all for good measure.
Of this I am not proud, but it doesn't stop me from doing so.
Shew. Confession is good for the soul.
I fell better now. I feel thicker in the middle region as well, but I definitely feel better.
Oh I must go back to the gym and to WW.
Anyway.
I'm in Missouri for another 7 days and am spending most of my time having play dates, going out to dinner with friends, getting LG's haircut and SHOPPING. I have been going a little crazy with being bored and all since David is gone and there is time on my hands that often can get filled with good ol' fashioned shopping.
Today I bought LG a new outfit from Target - really cute, on clearance - I don't feel too terrible. I also bought LG a cute shirt from a boutique (also on clearance) that is a retro tie-dyed tank top that says "daddy's girl" in rhinestones on the front. I couldn't leave out Baby Boy, so I headed to the 50% off table and found him some squeaker shoes that are camo design. Last pair - his size - done deal. Very cute. I won't tell you that I went to "Jelly Beans" to buy BB a new lovey blanket and ended up with clothing, but seriously, this is how it went down.
Then, I just bought BB a new carseat because he was busting out of his old one and it was just necessary, but then I realized that LG was getting increasingly uncomfortable in hers as well, and then further noticed that it says the maximum weight limit is 40 lbs. Really? My child is already 41 lbs. and my princess is tall people. No wonder she is saying "oww! mommy!" all the time. So - I am off to Toys R Us tomorrow to move her up to a booster. She is convinced she wants the pink one with rainbows on it, but mommy feels the need to go more neutral in case baby boy needs it in the future. Am I terrible? Anyway - hoping she'll move on. Either way - 2 new carseats in one month. Ouch-a-rooni.
I also stopped in a teacher's educational store with my friend Julie yesterday and bought BB a new toy and LG a new book. My poor debit card. He's feeling used and abused this month. Did I mention mamma got new boots the other night?
I really need to lay off the stores because right now I want to go buy a certain new undergarment from a certain store that has a lot of pink in it and the name is a total secret, but that will be another $50 out the door, and well, I think we need to eat this month. Better save that splurge for later. Am I really talking about this on here? Yes I am.
I actually think I have some extra money in the old bank account because the hubs keeps traveling and life is just plain cheaper when he is gone. Do you know how much I save on food and toilet paper when that boy is gone? Ha! Seriously!
Well, tomorrow is another morning playdate and then I am heading out to some more stores (for gifts for people) tomorrow night with Julie. I have birthdays and weddings to shop for, so I guess my debit card doesn't get a break after all. Oh well.
I am heading off to my "room" now (since I am staying at my in-laws house) and I'm going to catch up on a couple of shows. I just finished watching the finale of "The Next Food Network Star". Awesome Finale!!! The stay-at-home-mom with no formal training won and I am sooo excited for her. Her new show will start next week. Very excited to get some tips that way. I also just caught up on Army Wives last night and cried through a lot of the dramatic episode like I usually do. I am so hooked on this lifetime show. Tonight I think I have just some random ones to watch, so I am throwing the jammies on, snuggling in my bed and flipping on the t.v. My day is done. I am tired and I have another big day tomorrow.
Goodnight everyone.

So he's facing the front now? Such a big boy! I am still dying to see your pictures! Hope you're having fun!
No. No facing the front yet. Just a new convertible car seat that will go both ways. He was WAY overdue for a new one coming from the infant carrier. Such a porker. Can't believe Jude is still in his and you actually carry him in that! Superwoman!
He's just now getting to where he wants to be sitting in a highchair at restaurants. Before, I could keep him in his car seat and put that in a sling. Haha. He wants to be with the big kids now.
Glad you're having fun while you're in town!
I love shopping. We should live in the same town....wanna move again? ;o)
