We interrupt the packing.....

So - I am taking a quick break from our whirlwind packing experience to flash some birthday pictures for you. Ya know - to keep the public happy and all.

:-)

We are trying to pack this WHOLE house up in 4 days and live to tell about it. I'll let you know if that last part works out or not.

We have broken the house out into projects for each day and so far - day 1 was a huge success and we crossed nearly everything off of our list. That's a good sign. However - I try not to look at our garage without bursting into tears because that my friends is a monstrous beast out there. Whew! Lots of work to undertake.

Anyway -Little Girl's birthday.

We did an ice cream themed party where we had everything from an ice cream buffet with all the toppings, ice cream cone cupcakes (so easy and the cutest thing ever), a strawberry cake, ice cream cone balloons we made for all the kids, ice cream decorations on the tables, ice cream gift bags with i.c. shaped bubbles, i.c. shaped drinking cups with silly straws and pin the cherry on the ice cream cone game. That was actually the kids favorite part of the night I think. I had my hubs just draw the i.c. cone on a piece of poster board and cut out "cherries" from foam and put double sided tape on the back and blind-folded the kids for the fun. My mother-in-law served us all dinner and then we had dessert coming out of ears. Always a plus!! LG had a great time and BB enjoyed trying to rip into all the toys as well.

Here are some pics of the evening! Oh - and LG also got to go to Red Robin on her actual birthday and I also took her garage saleing that morning on her birthday with $2 in hand for her to go "shopping". She spent $.50 on a Curious George movie and she couldn't have been more excited. She saved the rest for mommy she said. Little cutie. It was a great birthday and I can't believe my little girl is 4!!! I have to write her birthday letter this weekend - even amongst all the craziness to tell her all she has meant to me this past year. I love doing this and I know she will treasure these when she is older and wants to sit and ponder how very much we love this blonde princess.

Such a fun party! You are so creative with parties. My favorite of course was the food. Yummy dinner then loads of icecream and cake. Couldn't be better than that.

Seriously cute idea for a theme. I might have to steal that one at some point. Love it!

Okay, so I just dug and dug through your blog archives to find this post. I am working on a theme for Adeline's birthday at the end of the month, and this was just so cute!!! Where did you find the laminated cones with letters on them? Any other advice?
