I'm SO glad it's Friday today. Not sure why. It wasn't a terrible week or anything, but I am looking forward to the hubby being home and doing some family stuff.
We've had a full week with preschool, and gymnastics and grocery runs and walking outside for exercise and baking crustless pumpkin pie, and trying out this new Salsa chicken and black bean soup crock-pot recipe for dinner. Shew! It's just been a busy one. :-)
I am happy to say that I have already pulled back off the 2 lbs I gained over the halloween weekend-o-candy and me and the husband's excursion to galavant around the city shopping, eating and going to see SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE in concert. Ya know - basically soaking up the day without any children hanging on you asking you to cut up their food. I officially have 6 more lbs. to go to be down to my goal, but for some reason my thighs look bigger than I remember even at this particular number. Hmmmmm. Is it my age that is doing gravitational things to my body? If so - How Rude!!
We had a great time last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed having alone time. We started our morning at The Classic Cup and we ate pancakes and country omelettes and fancy coffee and loved every minute of it. We then enjoyed the 73 degree weather and walked around the outdoor shopping mall for the rest of the afternoon. David literally cleaned out Gap, did some damage at Johnston Murphy's with new work shoes and may have used his card at The North Face. I, on the other hand, used a little restraint and only purchased 3 pairs of shoes, a pair of jeans, a pair of dress pants and some "mommy" knit shirts to wear throughout the week to look hip and cool in front of my 1 year old and 4 year old. :-) It really was so fun and we polished the night off with a fancy dinner at Capital Grille and then Cold Stone Creamery ice cream, because, well, I really did burn a lot of calories walking around the mall.
Seriously.
Oh - and I got an iced latte in the middle of the day because I was working up a sweat carrying around all those shopping bags.
The dancers were awesome just as we had remembered them from television and it was so fun to see such talent on the stage live and in person. I was so tired from our day of fun that I actually fell asleep in the car on the way home. Ha! David and I have both said it has been too long since we did something like that and we can't wait to do it again.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Yay! Sounds like a perfect weekend. Looking forward to my weekend with my hubby, starting tomorrow. They definitely don't happen often enough!
Sounds like you had a great time!
Did any of those knit shirts happen to have bugs or birds on them? Just wondering..... ;)
Sounds like several of my favorite things all packed into one weekend.
