Workin' on a Sunday

So, it's Sunday. My day of Rest.

Hmmmm.

Then why do I have a load of laundry in the washing machine?

Why am I slaving away cleaning up the kitchen and wiping off the counters and table?

Why am I getting ready to go change into my paint clothes and start priming the play room?

Oh. Well. Because I am a project freak and I always have a task in motion. That's why.

Yesterday was actually a great day of rest I must say. We literally hung out here at the house with the family all day, playing in the backyard, eating lunch on our patio set and kicking a ball around with the kids. It was perfect.

We went to church this morning and enjoyed our time there, but Baby Boy was losing it by the time we got into the car afterwards because he missed his morning nap and that doesn't seem to be boding well with him lately. We rushed home, ate our leftover Black bean, chicken and salsa soup for lunch and then rushed the children off to bed. David is working upstairs on a website for someone and I am, well, blogging, and then all the other things listed above. :-)

Just a little bit of work and then off for some R&R at David's parents house. His dad is making us chicken pot pie for dinner and even though Weight Watchers isn't happy about it, my tummy feels very differently. Trying to just keep chugging the water this afternoon so I don't snack on anything and I can eat a little more than 2 Tbsp for dinner.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Oh, and I'm going to start posting the things I am thankful for on the side of my blog this week (like I did last year if you remember) in honor of Thanksgiving and the season we are in right now. I would love to hear the things you all are thankful for as well. God is so good, and I will have no problem listing the blessings in my life, even in the midst of some of the hillier seasons I have endured. And, sometimes, thankfulness is a state of mind - not just what we see in front of us.
