Red Door

I have my red door! What do you think?

If you can believe that we painted it 2 different colors of red with Behr paint's paint and primer in one and seriously disliked both of them, so we ended up SPRAY PAINTING the door with a can of this stuff.

It was so weird to do that, but it actually turned out way, way smoother than using a paint brush and trying to catch the 3000 drips that kept appearing everywhere anytime we made a brush stroke.

It took 4 cans of spray paint at about $3.50 a can. Not bad.

Here's some more house shots. We are going to paint that second little door on the right next. This door actually leads into our laundry room, so we don't go in and out of it very much. I think it will make the house look more uniform if both doors are red. What do you think?

Overall - we are really happy with our Red door and can't wait to keep adding more personal touches to the front of the house like new house numbers, spray paint our light fixtures and things like that. So much fun making it feel like OUR place.

On a totally separate note. My kids have been eating the strangest snack in the whole world for about a year now. They learned this from their daddy who would eat this way when he would be trying to get in more vegetables and protein for a snack. Little Girl loves it and Baby Boy has started asking for it too.

Here it is.

I'm glad it's healthy, but carrots dipped in peanut butter? Daddy is ensuring they will have a very interesting food palette as they grow older. Ha!

I just had to share.

(Notice the menu board is hung in the background in that last photo? Debating on painting it red too. I don't love the blue. What do you guys think?)

I'm posting my Chicken Stir Fry recipe over at The Recipe Box tonight. I love it when we have it for dinner and the family loves it too!

Go check it out.

Love the red door. Don't love carrots & peanut butter. Ok so I haven't ever tried it. But I think a better combination would be carrots & hummus or celery & pb or apple & pb....just sayin.

Red door is beautiful- and carrots and peanut butter is DE-LICIOUS!!! mmmmm! But then I like peanut butter on just about anything. It's fantastic with apple slices too just in case you wondered. :)

The red door look great! Yes, you should paint the other one, but no rush....the house still looks great.
