Not to skip ahead of the holiday we have coming this Thursday, but my sister just told me that Starbucks came out with a new ice cream flavor called Peppermint Mocha. I may have passed out and then revived myself just in time to head over to Starbucks' website, to print a coupon for 75 cents off of a little pint of pure joy. I haven't tried it yet, but I am only assuming that it will be insanely delicious! I also texted something per an advertisement I heard about, to Starbucks to start receiving special offers and treats from Dec. 1 through the 12th. I love Starbucks anything, and this just made me happy......and THANKFUL. I had to share the joy.
I started working on my menu for Thursday.

I forgot to add the kids Jello Salad, Rolls and some kind of dip that I am deciding on, but so far, we have enough food for a small army. :-) We didn't want to miss out on our favorite food even though we wouldn't be with a big group, so we are just making smaller portions.
It's just going to be the 4 of us this year, and I have to say, even though I am a HUGE people person and love to be around a large group whenever possible, I am a little excited about our family's alone time.
We are starting out the day at the Turkey Trot 5K here in town, then we will head over to Krispy Kreme to get a doughnut (we did this last year at random since we never eat donuts, and the kids loved it). Then we will come home to watch the parade, start eating some snacks, pull out the Christmas decor, start decorating, eat our big feast, watch a Christmas movie, make a craft, open our kick off to the holiday - present which is the kids Christmas p.j.'s and we will also be focusing with the kids on how blessed we are and sharing with each other all that we are so thankful for.
I know my Thankfulness always begins with my family and my Savior. Not to mention my health, our financial security, our home that we love and good friends. We are indeed truly blessed.
After our full day of Thanksgiving festivities, I have to get to bed early since I have decided to go out with the crazies and shop with a friend around 4:00 a.m. on Friday. C-R-A-Z-Y.
I just have to get home in time for my Booty Blast class at the gym at 12:00. I'm sure I'll have loads of energy.
I hope you all have a great Holiday and don't forget to check over at my recipe blog in the next couple of days where I will be posting a recipe or two.
