Let's just dive right in.
We had a great week of Thanksgiving fun and being together as a family. Little Girl used her creative abilities to surprise us continually with all the things she comes up with in her head. She has decided that, like the boys, she likes Iron Man (she has no idea who he is) and while I was getting ready the other day, I came downstairs to look at our costume that she created completely out of construction paper and craft paper bags to be the one and only IRON MAN.

Even her shoes are cut-off paper bags that she slipped on. I love it!
I sent her to her room for some quiet time the other day and encouraged her to use her imagination. She has been doing some serious whining lately and I needed a reprieve from said whining. She loves the new movie "Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue". If you mothersofboys haven't seen it - it's a sweet story about a little girl who loves fairies and she creates this whole little magical house and path for the fairies to find and come to, so she can see them and play with them. Little Girl decided she needed to do that too.
This was her starter creation in my bathroom one morning.

Then that afternoon - she made this in her room for Tinkerbell and her fairies

She filled this cup of water so they could take a bath if they needed it. :-)
We later went to the mall to shop for a few things and LG wanted to wear this dress over her outfit because it looked like the leaves on Tinker's dress. I would agree that she looked lovely. Oh - and it was raining out - hence the boots.

On Thanksgiving day itself, we ate a lot of foods like this:

Check out the recipes for these and others over at The Recipe Box.
We ran the Turkey Trot in the morning. Brrrrrrr.

We did a lot of lounging around and watching t.v., playing with playdough, making Thankful signs and frosting pretzels.

Anybody else tired from all the fun?
It was actually a very relaxing day and the kids were playing together great which was quite the blessing. We only got the tree UP on Thanksgiving and then we decorated the whole house on Friday. My Mom and Dad are coming in town today to hang out for a few days and I am so excited!
I will be showing you my decorated house either by video or by pictures. Do you have a preference? Leave your comment now if you would enjoy looking through pics of the different things or one continual video of each room. I haven't decided what would be more fun, so I need your help.
Hope your weekend is great!
