I'm not even exaggerating here.
My kitchen table has looked like this for the last few days.

I finally finished my project of these little wooden balls to put in a dish or something for some decorative cuteness.

I slapped some turquoise paint on my chalkboard menu because the light blue was boring me to tears.

I'm actually not going to keep it this color, but I wanted to see what it did to the room. See that yellowish/orange paint on the wall? I may end up painting the frame that color or I may go red. David and I took a bunch of photos of the Anthropologie store to help us create the "feel" we are going for in this room. This is always my struggle. I can make things look cute, but achieving the actual "look" I am going for is a stretch. It takes me about 100 tries to get there.
Like this fireplace for instance.

My friends have started laughing every time they come over because it is always different. This is my new picture my mom bought me for Christmas. I sent the link to her after I saw it online a few months ago and I just loved it. I think it was from Dayspring - a Christian gift company.
I really like the mantle right now.........for the moment. :-)
Well, the new colors in the kitchen are being inspired by a couple of new items I told you about. My new Anthro dish towel that is giving me my new color scheme is one thing.

The other thing is this rug that I found at Urban Outfitters.

Don't you LOVE it?? This is the one I bought 2 of because it's not the kind that will last forever and this way I will have a back-up. Yay!
My last big ticket item was this Anthro tablecloth that will tie all my dining room colors together. Big splurge, but well worth it in my book.

I am having so much fun with my new "toys" and I can't wait to start seeing it come together the way I am envisioning. Thanks for letting me share all my fun with you.
I haven't forgotten about my Recipe Blog. I haven't made anything too exciting or NEW worth posting about this last week, but I promise to whip up some good things soon. I am making Naked Burritos tonight, so I will share the easiness and goodness of this healthy dinner recipe over at The Recipe Box this week!
Have a great weekend my friends!
