I'm still down because of my back today, so my mother-in-law picked up Little Girl from school for me. When they walked in the door, I heard Grandma say, "LG has a surprise for you!" I saw my little girl's smile and I about leapt off the couch - which was a painful experience.
I started to well up looking at my Little Girl turning into a Big Girl - once again.
The story was my favorite. Here is a glimpse of all of LG's ramblings.
"I was playing on the playground with my friends and somebody ran into me."
"...Then my teacher had come over and I smiled. She told me my tooth had fallen out! I didn't even know!!"
"...me and my friends started looking all over the ground for it, but we couldn't find it."
ME: "Did you cry at all?"
"nope. I didn't even know it came out."
"My teacher gave me this necklace with a plastic tooth on it that I can put under my pillow for the tooth fairy."
ME: Oh, well, hey, give me that necklace and let's put it upstairs in the bathroom so we won't forget to do that tonight."
"No, it's fine. Actually, the little girl that knocked it out said she would bring me some money tomorrow."
Hahahahaha!!!
ME: Well, it's more fun to have the tooth fairy fly in while you are sleeping and then leave you money than to just have somebody hand you some tomorrow, don't you think?
"Yeah."
O.K. Then.
How cute does my big girl look? I'm dying!!!!!!

Wow. Of all the days for me NOT to be picking her up. I wish I wouldn't have missed that. So fun to have her walk through the door so excited though. She looks so different. Her other one is a little bit loose too. Now, I can't wait to see the complete tooth-less look!!
Tomorrow I will post a pic of her bento lunch from today. I found some ice cream cone cookie cutters and did 2 of them for her turkey sandwich. I also threw in a little chocolate biscotti from Trader Joe's because me and my girl love those babies!
Have a great night!
