One thing that made the chores somewhat tolerable was the fact that my momma and my sister were in town to lighten the load of child-rearing and being fun and making meals and unpacking boxes. They were amazing! I felt completely spoiled and absolutely didn't want these 2 girls of my life to leave me.
I really did not.
Not to mention that the next blessing was that they took Little Girl this morning back to Missouri to have a few hang-out days of fun with the cousins before my sister-in-laws wedding this coming weekend. Yep. We'll be back in Springfield. Again.
I talked to LG on the phone tonight while she was lying in her "Annie's" bed (aka Aunt Kim) and she sounded so cute and far away. It made me sad and miss her like crazy - even though I know she is going to have the time of her life.
Here are some pictures of the spoiling baby boy got this weekend and Little Girl heading out the door with her annie. Oh - and I wanted to flash you a sneak peak at the kids bedrooms too. I have a lot more decorating to do, but I wanted to show you the fun things I did with their names on the wall. I copied this from a Pottery Barn catalog and I am in love with how it turned out!

Your back! I understand, no one can whip things into shape quicker than sisters and moms! I'm glad they got some good quality time with you and the kiddos!
Hey Kara! I love your blog site, it's so cute. My mom and sister have come down a few times to help me decorate and get the house together since we moved to FL and I am always so sad to see them go. But I always recover! Love the kids rooms, they are so cute!
PS. I am also obsessed with Pottery Barn. Love it!
Love the rooms! What an adorable idea of doing the letters that way around the pictures. Love it. BUT...my favorite is BB laughing. That picture is hilarious. What a handsome little dude.
That boy had changed so much already. He is oh so cute, it's good for him he's not here with me or I would smother him with kisses. I love what you did in the kids rooms. I am glad you are settling in. Moms and sisters are great!!
love the letters- I am going to start working on miss Anna's room. Her name is too short to do that arrangement with! Baby boy is freaking adorable and that basket pic is way too cute! Miss you being in town!
I love how you positioned their names on the wall and I am now going to copy it ;)
Welcome back...if you're still here! Love the new pics and the rooms are so cute!
Love the rooms & new pics of the kiddos, especially the one of Michael smiling so big!
Welcome back!!! LOVE what you've done with their rooms. I'm posting some pictures of my "new" house today, too.
