American Idol RECAP

Ok. Last night was just fun.

And shocking.

And hilarious.

American Idol really did put on a good show last night and entertained us on so many levels.

I am going to break down some of my highlights for you - just because I want to.

Here goes.

Kris's song with Keith Urban. Kris was AMAZING! That was a perfect range for him and he sang it almost better than Keith's parts. Really good.

BIKINI GIRL - Ummm. Well, it was hilarious all the way from Ryan saying "please let there be a God" to "I was going to ask what's new - but I guess I know" to Kara totally upstaging her and getting the look of death from bikini girl for the whole performance and even after. She was ticked. I can't account for how mature I thought it was of Kara to do it, but the entertainment factor was priceless and I have to say that I went back to it and watched it again the second time - laughing my head off.

I usually love David Cook - but actually thought his song was flat and boring and I couldn't get into it. I did however appreciate the meaning behind it and felt for him a lot because of him just losing his brother a couple of weeks ago. Quite sad. Love David though - all the way!

Adam Singing with KISS. Ewwww. That was just disturbing and gross and creepy. I am not sure what the wings were for either, but wow, that was just a weird one.

Tatiana. Was that real? Somebody tell me if that was staged or if that was real. If it was in fact real - we all should take a moment to pray for Tatiana's insanity situation she has going on. That laugh is still ringing in my ears.

Scott. David thinks I am horrible, but I can't really bear watching him. I am aware that he is blind and that compassion should follow that knowledge, but he is SO INCREDIBLY AWKWARD. He's swaying to a different beat up there and his facial expressions are just.........well, I don't know, they are just awkward, awkward. That's got to be interesting traveling with him in the top 13. I'm just sayin. Someone needs to let him hold their shoulders while they dance and teach him how to groove to the beat. Ok. I'm done being horrible.

Judges Clips. I had to laugh when the played clips about Randy's "for me for you" and Kara's "sweetie's" and Paula's big words that nobody knows and the fact that Simon is legally deaf. Good stuff!!!

KRIS WINNING!!!! I don't think anyone was as shocked as Kris was. I was afraid he was going to hand his trophy over to Adam and tell him he didn't deserve it! He was in total shock. It felt a little anti-climatic how they announced it and maybe that was because Kris had nothing to say, but it was sweet and exciting all together! I love that he won. I love that he is a chi-alpha guy and I love that we saw him win and have total victory!!
