Was on a blogging break and didn't even know it...

Ummm. How did a whole week pass that I didn't write one single post?

It could be because it was Mother's Day weekend and my mom and sister and nephew came in town and we had a blast together (more details to follow).

It could be because we have major CHANGES going on in our life.

It could be because my internet service is having issues and to pull up my blogger page can feel like you are watching paint dry.

So, this is my sad story.

But - now onto the happy part of my fun weekend with the family. Wanna hear what we did?

The fun part of family is that you can just "be" and hang out and laugh about old stories and things involving the growing up years. Conversation is easy and the common denominators are many.

We had several fun dinners at the house where I made my pepperoncini beer roast and then I also made sour cream chicken enchiladas and semi-homemade refried beans served with whole wheat chips.

Yummo.

We also did some garage saleing shopping Saturday morning which is one of my favorite things to do and I never have time to get out and go. All of us found great deals and things we needed - so you know that makes a girl's heart sing!

Saturday afternoon was a trip just for the girls to get a massage. Oh my. It was wonderful. We had a private room and it was an hour of complete bliss. The spa-like smells, the dark atmosphere, the comfy cozy recliner chair, the massage itself - heavenly. The afternoon getaway was completed with our favorite destination - Trader Joe's where food was had by all. Oh - and did I mention that we picked up a Starbucks treat on our drive home too??

Lastly - our weekend was completed on Sunday with the celebration of motherhood and the gifts that have been given to each of us in our children and our families. My wonderful hubby made all us girls some fancy french toast with strawberries and whipped cream and an egg, cheese and vegetable fritatta thing. Hello!!!

We had a wonderful morning at church where the message blessed me and my sister immensely. Tears were flowin' and everything. That's when you know you had church girls!

The weather was perfect and we loaded up the kids and headed to the Monon Trail where we walked for a couple of miles down a beautiful path to this yummy outdoor mexican restaurant. We ate enough chips and salsa to cover us for a week and we devoured our food just in time to walk the 2 miles back to our car and complete the day.

It was SO MUCH FUN!!! Can it be Mother's Day Again next week?

Please?

Well, I had a great Mother's Day Weekend as you can tell, and holding my son during the sunday service worship was the icing on my cake. It was my first Mother's Day with Baby Boy and I loved every minute of soaking up my mommy goodness and love for my kids!

How was your mother's day? Anybody do anything special? I'd love to hear about it - even if you got to sleep in for an extra 1/2 hour - that's love right there in my book!

I was so blessed - I got to share Mother's day with Sue! We went to Dean & Deluca & did a little shopping. Topped the day off with dinner and movie. I agree - let's do Mother's Day again next week!!
