Today the family got up and had big breakfast - our Saturday tradition. Daddy cooked us some really yummy waffles this morning, along with some cheddar cheese scrambled eggs. Little girl always gets chocolate milk on Big Breakfast mornings, so you know the world was all happy and sunny at our kitchen table.
After feasting like pigs, we headed out to a fun parade in downtown Indy. The kids got to see Super Grover and The Backyardigans and all people unreal and wonderful. The adults got to see people like Mario Lopez (big whoop) and a man wearing a loin cloth.
I am not kidding.
The breeze was a blowin' and I felt like the kids had walked into a rated R movie for a moment there. It was all family friendly - except for the bootie shot we had for about 15 seconds as the man passed.
Still not sure what it was about or why he was wearing it. The hubs said I was staring, but I think I was just in SHOCK that the dude was really in the parade - wearing. a. loin. cloth.
Anyway.
The weather was perfect. We got there a couple of hours early and got this perfect spot on the lawn under a shade tree. Baby Boy stayed on the mat we layed out for him (miracle) and LG waved her flag and clapped for every single person passing us.
So much fun.
We packed a picnic and ate and enjoyed our afternoon entertainment.
We are home now and Daddy has LG outside playing in her kiddie pool while BB and me are inside making barbecue pork ribs and corn on the cob. I have a baby einstein going on in the living room right now, but apparently that is just for my own enjoyment because the boy could seriously care less. How will he ever learn his shapes and colors and understand what a puppet means when he sticks his tongue out and goes "BLAH!" - you mom's know what I am talking about. Ha!
What are you all doing for Memorial Day? Here are some pics from our fun weekend. Enjoy.

What a fun day! Anna wants to be out side 24/7 these days. We are heading to a zoo bout 3/5 hrs from here (can you guess which one?) for her bday. Looking forward to her face when she sees all the new animals!
