I am just going to be honest here.
My grocery bill is HUGE.
I don't know how it started getting that way, but I believe it was around the time I started eating more organic food and after I had went to cooking school and realized all the yummy delights there were to make in any given 7 day week. I have developed a taste for finer foods, for healthier foods, for fresher - more whole foods and also for foods that aren't loaded with chemicals and processed ten times over.
This makes for a plump grocery bill and even when I try to look at sale ads and write things down of where to go and clip coupons to save a few dollars - all the effort doesn't seem to add up all the time. I am feeling guilty for my high bills, but I am unwilling to buy hamburger helper and a box of rice-a-roni for dinner. (not that these foods are terrible, but......oh - who am I kidding - they really are terrible.)
I am an organizer at heart. I can organize me and the kids schedules like nobody's business and I can run a pretty good household for the most part. What I struggle with is organization in the "gather these things together and compare this price to that and plan your meals with this sale and then make sure you bring this in for a free this" and ALL THAT JAZZ. My brain starts frying. I always forget something. And usually I have to make a second and third trip to the store which to me makes it SO not worth it.
SO.
I heard of a couple of cool sites recently that will spare some of my mom-reduced brain cells and do some of the hard work for me. I just started looking into them myself, but I have heard such great things about them that I am sure I can't go wrong giving it a try.
Here are the sites. Check 'em out. Let me know what you think. Maybe this summer we can all save some GREEN and buy ourselves a new outfit and a sassy pair of fuschia flip-flops!
Enjoy.

Aww shucks, girl. You're too kind! *blushing* I do hope that you'll become a Money Saving Lady and be able to buy those flip flops (I'm on a hunt for the perfect pair myself right now). And please know, I don't eat Hamburger Helper. Ever. ;)
Hey...I didn't know you went to cooking school. Fun! When did that happen?
