The memory's goin'

It's been a good week. The electrician came nearly every afternoon to bring forth light to 2 very important rooms in my house and David gave me a night out by myself.

No children.

Quiet car.

Listened to my own music.

Actually I sang the Handy Manny theme song when I first got in the van, but quickly and swiftly redirected my thoughts to something more age appropriate.

And it was nice to just be A-L-O-N-E.

Love that husband of mine. I even brought him home his favorite Starbucks drink to show my thanks. That's how I do.

Well, in all the excitement of lighting and breaks from children and such, I got a call from my mom asking me what my plan was for Friday.

Ummm. For what?

Yeah. I completely forgot that we have our annual family reunion this weekend up in my hometown.

So, Scratch Big Breakfast on Saturday. Scratch the 2 HUGE community garage sales we were going to hit. Scratch haircuts for both the kids.

ROAD TRIP!!!

Too bad I haven't planned a single thing to get ready to go. Ha!

I am actually super excited to go see all my family. I am just shocked at myself for spazzing out on my calendar.

Can't I blame the kids? Don't they suck our brain cells away each day? Yeah. I'll go with that.

Have a great weekend everyone. I will be away from the internet most likely and shall return to greet you next week. Maybe I'll even snap a photo or two of my newly painted kitchen chairs.

Hang onto your seats. :-)
