The boy is now 1!

Yesterday was a fun and momentous day. Baby Boy turned one and I turned all mushy inside about it.

Thinking back to all the posts I shared with you all when we were making the crazy drive down to Arkansas to go meet this baby boy we now know as our precious son. Can you believe that this is what our little man looked like back then?

And check out this video of Little Girl when she met Baby Boy for the 1st time? Adorable! He's so big now, it's almost hard to imagine.

BB was a doll to watch yesterday and we thoroughly enjoyed showering him with all the birthday attention a 1 year old can handle.

Here are some things he's doing:

taking 10 or more steps at a time (a lot of them sideways which is quite funny)

clapping at random at the funny things he is doing

wrinkling his nose and making cheesy smiles

shaking his head "no" when you are correcting something he is doing.

has started screaming at LG when she tries to sneak him in a new toy and take the one he has

is drinking whole milk out of his bottle with ease. The switch from formula to milk was a breeze.

is eating table food like a champ and really chows down on mac-n-cheese, peas, mandarin oranges and bananas.

has started giving me those sweet and slobbery open-mouth kisses when I ask for them (most of the time)

and he signs for "More" and "All-done" without fail. Mommy has been slacking on the other ones. Maybe I'm busy?? :-)

So, we celebrate my boy and all the gifts that he is to our family. I felt so much more complete when he entered our world at a mere 5 lbs. 14 oz. and showed us what having a boy is all about. SO MUCH DIFFERENT THAN GIRLS. But so much fun all the same.

Here are some pics of our fun day together yesterday. We capped the night off at Red Robin - including a little chocolate sundae. He enjoyed his first experience with chocolate. Ha! LG loved that he shared!
