I am having success in "spurts" right now. The playroom is my focus this week and here are some fun things I have found for it so far.
I bought Walmart royal blue bean bags (3 to be exact) to go around a seating area in the play room (that is until the kids pick them up and start swinging them at each other, but until then - it's a seating area.)
Next, I ordered a big braided oval rug from Land of Nod that has a ton of bright colors in it to create said seating area. This was a splurge. I'm putting cheap stuff with more sturdy stuff to hopefully make more of an impact.
I also purchased a whimsical tree with birds and cuteness that is a stick-on thing to place on one of the wall's in the playroom probably behind where I am going to put my small desk in there - ya know, so I can blog while the children play. :-)
I found these curtains from Land of Nod too that I thought were adorable.
Lastly I am ordering some ITSO cubes from Target to go on either side of the t.v. cabinet to store toys and paraphenalia that I think will work great. Here is an idea of the kind of design you can create with these cute plastic cubes. You are able to put in your wall color, floor color and canvas drawer colors for the cubes to get an idea what it would look like.
Oh, and I have decided to paint the playroom a Ralph Lauren color called "Homespun". It is like the perfect tan with a hint of cacky green going on and I have used it in a previous home of ours and loved it with everything.
So - do you think I have my work cut out for me?
Pictures to come once the playroom is complete. Next - maybe I'll tell you what I'm doing to my living room. :-)
Here's a cute pic of Little Girl that I am blowing up Poster size to put in her room. Ain't she a pretty little thing?

Come decorate my house!!!!
Love your ideas! And love the new bloggy background. I may have to check out the "homespun" paint. I am thinking about painting Keller's room a tan/khaki. I am waiting for a quilt from PB to pick a specific color. Hope you will grace us with pics of your fun finished rooms.
