I have a full week of NOTHING just staring at me and I am already bored out of my mind. There is no preschool this week. No gymnastics. Most of LG's girly friends are out of town and so play dates are mostly out of the question, and there are no activities to be seen at many locations because it's still considered the "holidays" with New Year's right around the corner.
Wow. It feels long already and it's only Tuesday.
My friend Julie and I have been able to hit the gym (as of yesterday) this week and that definitely fills a couple hour gap in our day when we do that, plus our kids get to play together for awhile while we get fit! :-) That is nice to have.
But - even in all my boredom - I have so much to do. The problem is that "to-do lists" aren't necessarily kid-friendly things that are easy to get done with them around. Hmmmmmm.
Take down Christmas. I have to haul it all upstairs and then up the stairs to the attic. Do you think that will be easy? Ummm. No.
Baby Boy needs his 1 year pictures done. He is nearly 16 months. Yes. I feel guilty. Must go soon.
LG needs a haircut. BB does too for that matter, but BB gets his done by daddy now, so I will have to call ahead for that appointment.
Need to purchase my Silver Dollar City passes.
Need to lose some weight before I go to Disney World next week.
Need to write in the kids baby books. Some really cute things that have been done have not been recorded in history and again, they hang over my head.
Bought a 1 year photo album for BB since I don't really print pics anymore except to give to the Grandma's, but I bought an album with the hopes of taking the time to print a few of the best pics of this past year and print a few months at a time and just make him an album that way. I'm so far behind with LG that it is crazy, but if I tackle BB's book, then maybe I can feel good about starting a year for LG. Oh the insanity!!
Need to buy some frames and a corkboard to do something cute over my desk here in this space. A trip to Target is needed, however, I tend to never spend less than $100 when I go there, so do I trust myself there right before a long trip? Not really.
Need to organize my cleaning closet because it's not very, ummm, clean.
Need to stop writing this list so that I don't overwhelm my readers. Are you tired yet? Do you wish this list had never entered your brain?
Sorry.
So, these are some of my to-do's. I am hoping that I can actually accomplish something this week because it is such a slow week, but that is up to my patience level, the kids obedience and how much t.v. time I am willing to be o.k. with for them as a mother. Ha!
I hope you all have a blessed and productive New Year.
