Up Late and Wired!

Hi friends. I know it has been awhile since I have landed a post on this wonderful website, but life has been busy. I know. Seriously. Pick your mouth up off the floor. The day my life slows down and has some normalcy will be a pretty boring day for me. Just kidding. I will probably jump up and down for joy at the beauty of some good old fashioned stability and routine. It is 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday night. I went to Walmart at 10:00 to pick up groceries for this next week and for our little Easter bash this weekend. I felt all good about myself because I made a healthy grocery list, planned all my meals for the next 4 or 5 days and got Makenna's Easter basket all put together. This got me home around 11:00 and David decided to shove off to bed without me. I put groceries away and thought "well, I could just throw on a Dr. Phil off of Tivo and dip some of these pretzels for our weekend Easter Egg Hunt". I just finished a dippin' and a decoratin' and now I have 2 Dr. Phil shows under my belt that I missed while we were out of town. I am now looking around going "what else could I get done tonight with the house so quiet and no one needs me for anything." For those of you who know where we were this weekend. We had a great trip and met some of the most amazing and funny people. It was a great experience and I will post more on the "outcome" later. I know. You are hanging on to the edge of your seat right now, but sorry Shannon everyone - you will just have to wait! :-)

Since we just got home last night, today should have been spent unpacking clothes, doing laundry and getting settled back in. These are all really good "nap time" chores. Today though, I took a little pleasure by sifting back through all my latest and greatest magazines and cutting out articles or recipes or whatever that I wanted to save. I am obsessed with the following three "great reads" right now: Parents Magazine, Real Simple and Adoptive Families. I love zoning out and getting new ideas and new recipes and also encouragement on being a better parent and specifically, being a better adoptive parent. Well, maybe tomorrow I will get some stuff done. We shall see.

I need to go to bed. I must go to bed. Well...........unless I could get one more task done or watch one more Dr. Phil? Can you tell I like this guy?? :-) Good night all. Thanks for reading.

So glad you are back "on the blog." I know that you and David have some major decisions coming up for your family so we just want you to know that we are praying the God will guide you to make the right one. Next time you're up late and wired...call me...we could catch a late movie or a little Starbucks!
