Windy. Trendy. Bendy. Indy

Indiana that is.

The time has come to share our news of a moving van heading our way and coming to take up all of our belongings and wisk us off to a faraway land called Indiana or as we so lovingly refer to it as "Indy". Oh the journey our life has taken us and the twists and turns that have made up our life. This is one of those times however that I can say without hesitation that I am actually kinda sorta, really, truly.................excited about this move. All of our moves have had purpose and destiny and hope for longevity and fulfillment - that is always the same. But, this time feels very different to both David and I. We are at a place in our lives that we actually want the same things in our family, our life, our ministry and all of that rolled up into one. Not that we have disagreed about decisions in the past, but like I said, this just feels different.

Now to all of my amazing friends and of course both David's and my families - this is the part that I hate and despise the most. I don't want to leave you. I really don't. I wish I didn't have to say goodbye to anybody and my closeness with all these people would stay exactly the same. Little girl will be missing her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and playmates I know to an infinite degree -as will we. I have to trust that the Lord knows all of this and will bring fulfillment into not just our lives to fill the gap, but also to their lives. You can't replace family or really awesome friends, but God knows us better than we know ourselves and I know he will work it out. We put our house up on the market and are heading back to Indy to do some more house shopping in the next couple of weeks. We are praying it will sell quickly and the Lord will lead us to just the right home that we can build and raise our family in for years and years.......and years to come. David will be doing what he does best and will be a Pastor over all the media and design crews of the church and in charge of all things communication. He will still have his hands in his media business on occasion as well, but that part is just for fun and to stay fresh. The Pastor and staff of the church we are going to are amazing and we clicked with all of them right away. It had a sense of "coming home" feel there and that is exactly what we prayed for when we went out to interview a few weeks ago.

So, there you have it. A move in the making. Please pray for our house to sell and that the adoption paperwork won't get too messed up with us changing states (this part I dread as well). Again - I know the Lord knows and we feel his leading so strongly right now that I know moving to a new home will not change how, when or where our baby #2 will be coming to us.

I will keep you all posted on our move and the progress over the next month.

Two things I can tell you for sure are drawing me to Indiana - Trader Joe's & Whole Foods! Now that just brings a smile to a girl's face.

Now if I can only find some amazing friends there that are half as cool as my girls here in Missouri. Nope. Not possible. :-)

Love you guys.

Kara, I grew up in Indiana. About 40 miles south of Indy in Columbus. I think you will really like it there. I'm curious to know what church. My sister lives in Indy as well and we have friends there, too.

I'm happy for you guys, there will be an adjustment time, but I know God will bless you in this new endeavor.
