Today's yard work day.
We are putting down seed AGAIN in our backyard.
When they built our house - they sodded the front and seeded the sides and back, but the ferocious Indiana wind, the geese from our pond, and the lack of watering on our part since we were moving in and all - caused our back yard to do nothing more than remain a pile of dirt.
Lovely.
So, today we (meaning David and Little girl) are raking up all the hay from the last attempt and putting new seed and hay down.
We are going to be really good about watering this time, so - fingers crossed - we might see some grass this go around!
The hubs is working like a mad man out there for the past several hours and he asked if we had any energy bars or anything of that nature.
I scanned the pantry and figured that LG's organic fruit gummies and some instant mac-n-cheese weren't going to qualify.
I remember this recipe that WAY BACK I had found and wanted to try to keep on hand for Breakfast or little snacks that would be in the semi-healthy category. HEY - there's fiber involved here.
So - I just did a quick internet scan and found them again. I'm going to make them today and see if the family is in to them. I will keep you posted.

Edited to say that I did in fact make these bars and Dave and I give them a huge thumbs up!!! Super yummy!

we saw them out in the yard working away. jeremy did some yard work today also. and we FINALLY bought a lawn mower. our very first one! we're praying for some good looking grass too. :)
I can only think of one way to ruin peanut butter--that's with bran cereal. Yuck! :)
I'm with Julie.....although with peanut butter, honey, and brown sugar.....they don't sound THAT healthy.......so maybe I could try one sometime, but probably won't get around to making them. :-)
