Get your cravings together....

My understanding of the female mind is as follows:

When I'm down - feed me chocolate

When I'm bored - feed me chocolate

When I'm celebrating - feed me chocolate

When I finally get the kids down for a nap - feed me lots of chocolate

So - In honor of our chocolate addictions, I am throwing out to you one of the best brownie recipes of all time.

I have been making these since I first got married to the hubs over 12 years ago and they are always amazing.

The name says it all.

Take a break. Whip out the mixer and have yourself a treat.

FAVORITE BROWNIES RECIPE

1 1/2 Cups Sugar
3/4 Cup Butter - softened
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla (I always go all out and buy madagascar bourbon vanilla extract - totally worth the splurge)
3 eggs
3/4 Cup flour
1/2 Cup cocoa
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 Cup chocolate chips
1 Cup chopped nuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar, butter, and vanilla; add eggs. Combine dry ingredients, then add to sugar mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Spread in an 8 inch square pan. Bake for 35 minutes.

These taste best if you really let them cool and set up. Super soft and thick and chocolatey!

Yep. They are awesome.

Here is my brownie recipe:

Drive to Costco
Buy massive box of Ghiradelli brownies
Go home
Add the oh-so-easy oil and water and egg
Mix, put in pan (save some in the bowl for licking) and cook up the goodness!

Ta-da!
