New Living Room - with really bad pictures

I am finally providing you with my living room pics, but please be warned that the quality of the pics is sub-par. I also have to disclaim that I am SO not done with this room and have a lot of changes to go, but with that said - Here you go.

Fireplace mantle and new BLUE walls
I am a little unsure of how much I love the brightness of the blue, but I think wants we add the bookshelves along each side of the fireplace - it will tone it down a bit. Can't wait for that!!

New curtains (I know - terrible lighting). My awesome Mother-in-law made these drapes for over the couch and then also the little curtain thing on my back door. The colors are cream, tan and soft robin egg colored birds).

Also - Picture of my recently purchased and painted window over my desk with some fresh curly willow straight from my brother's front yard. Gotta love free decorations! :-)

My MIL also made the topiaries on my console table with the t.v. The frames around the sides are a work in progress and I am thinking that I need larger frames than these to fill the space in a little better.

So this is my new room. I know that this is giving you a kind of choppy vision of the new digs, but it's the best I am getting over here. I have never claimed to be a photographer. Ha!

What do you think? Do you like?? :-)

Happy Tuesday everybody.

I love the blue, different and cheerful. Will you come do my house next?

I love it! It just makes me want to sit and drink coffee and be cozy. It's so relaxing. All your little touches make it so special. You should consider doing this to other peoples houses for a fee!

Yes, you should definitely start charging a fee, right after you are finished with mine. :)

Good stuff! I have a vase of curly willow on my mantle. Just the coolest stuff!

It has come together well. Love the colors.
