Sensory Boxes (a cousin to the Noodle Box)

So, yesterday I just blogged about our Noodle Box making it's reappearance and then I saw something mentioned on facebook today that totally caught my eye.

A SENSORY BOX.

It's basically a beefed up noodle box concept with "themes". Now that LG is older - themes will keep her engaged more than just scooping and dumping (although she still likes that too). Since LG will be going off to school full time in the fall, BB and me will be having lots of alone time. I wanted to make up some things that would keep him engaged and his sweet little 2 (then 3) year old mind sharp.

These appear to be just what this mommy ordered, so I hopped online and googled "sensory tubs".

Here's a site I found today that gave me my ideas. I made the alphabet box and the spring garden box today. I will blog more about them after the kids try them out and I get a review.

Aren't you other mommies excited??

Me too!

On a final note, Baby Boy woke up with yet another fever last night of 104.5. He stayed pretty warm, even on motrin, all through the night and slept with us. He was so puny today and started sounding really tight in his chest and like he wanted to cough, but it hurt, so he would just cry when he would start to do it. He wouldn't eat anything, so I kept pushing water, o.j. and popsicles on him for hydration. Julie - who is a Princess in their eyes - arrived with treats in hand this afternoon for our sick little dude and LG.

Does she know them or what?

I got a little bit of my smiley boy back for a few seconds after she left.

He was clingy all day and kept saying "I have fever. Hold you!!". It was quite sad. He didn't want me to sit, either. He wanted me to stand. Not great for a momma with a bad back who can't hold children standing for long periods of time. We managed though and even though I hated seeing him so sick, I soaked up every hug, cuddle and snuggle from my sweet boy. Isn't that always the best part about them being sick??

He was grabbing his throat a lot tonight and not talking much at all. We would ask him if his throat hurt and he nodded yes. We shall be heading to the doctor tomorrow. Please Lord - heal my boy. We've got too many fun summer plans to be sick!

Have a great night. Stay healthy!!

Boy when little boy gets a fever they sure are high! I hope the dr. gave him something to get rid of it and that's he's back to himself real soon. Sounds like momma needs a girls night!
