Hi friends! Yes, I am still on a bloggy break, but had to stop by and say Hello. We are having such a great summer and enjoying every moment of laziness, water fun and friends.
Here's my current life:
LG is in VBS this week and LOVING it. It's her first time and she officially wants to go there "for the rest of her life". :-)
BB is sleeping in until 9:00 each morning and I love him more and more each day. :-)
This week's menu was a grilling out burgers, taco night, home-made lasagna from the freezer and crockpot pork roast kind of week.
I also made my mom's potato salad this week. My mom makes the BEST potato salad. It's nice and mustard-y and perfect. I have only tried to make it a couple of times and the first time I kind of missed the mark.
This time I think I NAILED it. Yay!!! It was so good that I think I will share the recipe with you on here. Be watching for mom's potato salad.
I want to paint my guest bathroom downstairs a sunny yellow. I am becoming a little obsessed with the idea of something fun in there. It is brown, boring and non-decorated. When I bust out the paint - you all will be the first to know.
I think we are going to buy BB a Blue Race Car Bed. I see them a ton on Craigslist and even though we are redoing his room (hopefully this fall) - this will be one less project for my hubby. These beds are made by Little Tykes and are super cute. The boy will flip out! Very excited.
I've kicked up my exercising recently. I am still working out with my dear friend Julie every week and then I did a little 3 mile walk/run with my new friend Danina this morning. There were hills people. I sweated like a pig. It wasn't pretty, but it felt good. :-)
David and I also got our first informal tennis lesson from a friend last night and that was super fun too. If I can keep burning more calories than I put in - I will totally be on the right track.
Speaking of Calories - this Saturday for Big Breakfast I am going to make a new Cinnamon Pull Apart thingy. It involves a large sourdough round, a ton of slivers in the top, a boatload of butter, cinnamon sugar and a creamy, gooey glaze slathered all over the top. Apparently this is so yummy that you can't stop "pulling apart" this pull apart bread...and eating it all up!!!
Me and the family are quite excited. Don't worry - you'll get the recipe too. I don't want your families to be sad inside.
I am watching re-runs of Flipping Out - due to desperation of entertainment. The Summer's a scary time in t.v. land my friends. A scary time.
I hope you are all doing fun things and enjoying yourselves to the fullest this Summer. I will be back on here periodically to touch base, but I will stay on a break from the everyday blogging through the next month or more. I'll keep you posted.
Oh! Last thing. I may be making a switch to a different blog through typepad or wordpress to make commenting on here a little easier. The name of this blog could be changing too, you never know! The content will stay the same, so keep your ears close to see what will be happening this Fall!!
XOXO!!

Adeline LOVED Bibleschool last year. Ours is the first week of August this year.
Please teach my kids to sleep in!!!! Especially the middle one...she is all sunshine and roses in the morning but WAY TOO EARLY!
Great job on the exercising. I have never had much discipline when it's hot outside.
How does typepad or wordpress make commenting easier? Enlighten me. ;o)
