I promised a post of Little girl getting her cast off and of course the Cast off celebration that was given to her when it was all over with. I kid you not that this child was SO brave and SO cute that the technician removing her cast told me in these exact words - "if you ever want to give her away, will you please call me?" I shared with her to not wait for the phone call. It just aint comin'.
They also mentioned that this was one of the thickest casts they had ever seen. No kidding!!! They should've seen me trying to get a long-sleeve shirt or a jacket over her huge popeye arm for 6 weeks. Not pretty.
Little Girl asked daddy to cover her ears while they sawed off the purple cast and she even giggled at one point saying the woman was "tickling" her. I actually started to get tears in my eyes when after the cast was removed and our tech girl was cleaning her up, my little cutie said, "thank you for helping me."
What 3 year old says this I say? What 3 year old?
Uhhhhh. I can't stand it sometimes. Seriously.
We brought her home to some fun festivities including sandwiches made into snowman and Christmas tree shapes, applesauce, goldfish, a gingerbread cookie and Trader Joe's Minty hot cocoa. There were balloons on her chair along with a couple of little gifts to celebrate the occasion of the ability to use both arms again. Hallelujah!
The doctor said it would take her a couple of weeks to get back to normal, but she has seemed to adapt back to playing with her new toys quite well. We were also informed that gymnastics cannot be in her future for atleast 3 months as to not re-break the arm we just had healed.
Yes. That sounds like a plan to me.
We are going to give dance class a try instead. We were given a full on dance concert by LG the other night complete with tutu and ballet shoes and dramatic arm moves, swaying and deep bows. I will keep you updated on her ballerina status over the next few months.
Also - It's fun seeing who follows my blog on the sidebar, if you haven't clicked on "follow this blog" yet - I would love to have you join in and let me see my friends lined up on my blog wall. I'm not going to lie - you all just make me happy!! :-)
Ok - I am supposed to have pics on this page of her cast coming off and her cast-off celebration, but I am having major photo issues. Will put them up soon. Sorry LG fans. So sorry.

Glad she is all better now! What a cute girl you have. (:
Cooper's cast off day was one of the best memories I have. I feel in your excitement. LG is a sweet girl BUT you and David have played a major role in her politeness. Give yourselves a pat on the back, you deserve it.
