Every day.
Without fail.
I'm really not kidding.
So, thankfully, she isn't into "real" words yet, she just colors on an envelope, slaps some stickers and always, I do mean always, has to tie it with a ribbon. It' so funny because I have like 50 of these little pink ribbons that were leftover from little girl's birth announcement 3 long years ago and I, who doesn't like to keep "rubbish" or things that I can't see an immediate need for, was going to just toss them out. My sis who was hear helping me organize my new home a few weeks ago however, talked me into putting these in her "craft" drawers and letting her use them for play.
Well, she does.
And - she loves these pink ribbons with all her heart and seals all her masterpieces with the final kiss of love - meaning the ribbon.
SO
She made the jolly old man a card yesterday and was very passionate about getting it into the mail. We have this red mailbox that says "Santa - Please stop here!" and she plays with it quite a bit. I mentioned that she may want to put it in there right before her nap and maybe while she was sleeping he would stop by to grab her letter - cuz you know he don't come when you're awake! She liked the idea and couldn't believe he would come "all the way from the north pole" to get her letter, but Santa rolls like that in our house. He comes when we tell him too. :-)
She mailed it. She slept. He, of course, retrieved her letter and left a surprise in return. Her eyes lighting up when she popped open the mailbox were priceless. I love watching Christmas through LG's eyes. It's pure innocent wonderment. I'm planning on bottling it up and passing it out as Christmas gifts this year.
Ah well, Santa brought me a treat too. I have no extra cash right now for frivolous things such as Starbucks Peppermint White Mochas, but I can brew me some Starbucks blend coffee with a dallop of Cool Whip (the kind you can get in a can now) on top. It's almost just as good.
Almost.

Kara, I normally cut and paste the pics to where I want them, after I have typed my post & added pics. Does that make sense?
I love the wide eyed wondered children this time of year! I am sure that Santa can read LG's card and will bring her just what she wants!
Thanks Shauna! I usually am able to do that, but it was just showing the actual pictures once I uploaded and they wouldn't move for me. I finally just found the "edit html" button and I was able to see all the jargin to move things around. Thanks for the help girl!
How fun- what neat memories you have in those pictures. We are having fun with Anna this year too- we don't "do" Santa but we are certainly enjoying her "is it Christmas yet?" questions daily and the way her eyes light up when we turn on the Christmas lights. Everytime its like it's brand new. Christmas is so much more fun with kids!
Ok...I'm stuck on the part that you add cool whip to your coffee??? Now, if you lived next door to me, I could brew you up a nice latte from my wonderful machine and add just about any Starbucks flavor to it. (is that enough to get you to move back? you'd save loads of $ since you wouldn't have to go to Starbucks). LG is a doll. That is so sweet that she writes letters to Santa. Greyson actually sat on his lap this year. I was shocked. At times, this age can be enjoyable ;)
I am amazed that Santa carries ziploc bags to put m&m's in!!!
Oh, that is SO cute! The magic really is something to enjoy when you see your kids getting so excited.
And, kudos for you for whipping up an awesome coffee delight at home. It seems like cash just wants to jump out of my wallet everytime I pass a Starbucks.
So sweet! I love how you inspire her creativity and help her enjoy the wonder of the season.
