It was a good Saturday today. Little Girl and I made home-made apple muffins with brown sugar and cinnamon topping last night to prep for our Big Breakfast this morning. We, of course, had the typical chocolate milk for LG, coffee for the big people, scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese, turkey bacon and the amazing muffins.
It was tasty.
Since I am on Weight Watchers, I saved up a ton of bonus points and wrote out my breakfast the night before so I could enjoy my tasty food with the family. It was good.
Then we were excited to have a double date night out with our friends Shannon and Jay to enjoy a little "Bruno's" pizza downtown and then to see Mama Mia live. It was a fun night out and it was a MUCH needed break from my precious children. The grandparents have been out of town for a few weeks and we don't have an established babysitter yet here in MO town, so we have been desperately waiting for our evening of child-free conversation.
Another fun thing today was that we got our new chairs for the living room in and also our new t.v. console and they all look beautiful. And the chairs - that I got from JC Penney that totally look like Pottery Barn? SO. COZY. SERIOUSLY. I want to live in them. We still have 3 weeks for our leather couch, so pics will follow when we have all the new stuff in place. Now my brain won't stop out of desire to add more patterns, more textures and more "layers" to the room so it is not this flat blank room with no excitement. Ugh! I need to go to the fabric store and I believe my MIL is letting me get out on Tuesday to go shopping and to get my hair cut and colored. A much needed thing since I am several weeks overdue. Not pretty.
We were trying to decide on where to try out church for tomorrow since we are still on the search, but Baby Boy has a fever and LG started with a little cough this afternoon, so no church for them. Maybe only daddy will be trying out a church. Poor kiddos. Looks like tomorrow will be a home bible study and movie day.
I'm in the mood for chicken noodle soup. Maybe tomorrow will include that too.
Have a great rest of your weekend.
