In case you guys have forgotten or misplaced this information due to the fact that you have your own lives and in the craziness of it all, you have forgotten to memorize what is going on with me here in my little world. If this is the case - let me just remind you.
I'm on Weight Watchers.
I'm hungry.
I'm craving all things fall and comfort-food-ish and would really like to eat my weight in chicken pot pie and a warm apple crisp with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
But.
I would like to look good in my jeans even more, so I stay focused.
The first week I lost 6 lbs which was kinda crazy and kinda cool. I drank about 300 gallons of water everyday and I am convinced that helped. The second week I lost zero because I believe I may have enjoyed too many bonus points than necessary over the weekend and therefore fudged all my hard work through the week. Grrrrrr.
So, I am back to chugging the water today and logging every point and ready to see at least 2 lovely lbs. fall off the scale as of next week. My jeans will thank me and so will my pocket book since I won't have to buy all new clothes this season.
I have promised to share some recipes on here and in light of the fact of my focused eating - I shall post my crustless pumpkin pie recipe that boasts of only 1 single point and you can even dallop it with a little fat free cool whip and call it a day. I haven't had it in a couple of years, but have found the recipe online and am going to make it this week to ward off the cravings. Here it is.
I also signed up for our local Turkey Trot on www.active.com. Me, Dave and the kids are going to go run a little 5K before we dive into the eating festivities for the day on Thanksgiving. I've never done and have always wanted to. I bet they have one in your local area. It would be fun - plus you even get a free t-shirt!!! :-) Yay! Well, it's not totally free - you are paying about $20 per person to register. ha!
Ok people. I haven't heard from any of you in awhile. You stalkers that read this blog and never comment just take pieces of my soul and never share any of yours.... too much? too sappy? too dramatic? ha! Ok. Just say hi. I love hearing from you. It makes me feel more inclined to post on here as opposed to conversations to myself. Love you guys.

It's called Turkey Strut here...ya know, it is NC....crustless pumpkin pie recipe looks very easy and yummy. Thanks for sharing!
Kelly! Thanks for saying hi. That's funny that they call it the Turkey Strut. I've never heard it that way. ha! Glad you came out to say hello. :-) Maybe we'll see you again soon.
Turkey Trot is super fun- all the 5k's are in fact. Cool t-shirts, bunch of crazy people wearing turkey hats, and man was it COLD last year! So dress warm! And have fun!
Hi Kara! I read your blog all the time! I'm so sorry I don't usually comment. I do love reading about you and the fam and all that's been going on with you. You have such a witty way with words. Plus I love seeing how you decorate your house! Anyway glad all is well with you!
Hey Kara - it's your cousin Cheryl. I'll leave a comment since I feel called out "taking pieces of my soul..." You are so funny! I enjoy reading your blog & keeping up with you and the kiddos. It was especially amazing seeing you at the reunion and not feeling the need to catch up, since I get to follow your life online. Of course, maybe I should comment more to make it more of a two way street, so as not to be so stalker-like :)
